Today's National Diabetes Alert Day, not awareness but alert. Not to scare you but over 13% of adults in California have diabetes and about a quarter of them don't even know that they have it - that's over a million people, folks! And one third of young adults are at risk of becoming diabetic. So what can you do to stay healthy? Eat well, exercise and sleep. When we opened our doors over 5 years ago, we wanted to serve delicious, healthy whole food to help complement a healt...hy lifestyle. Not "preachy" crazy but a restaurant with lean meats, fresh produce, whole foods made from scratch, one that you felt good after eating at. We even educated a few customers who had asked what is kalé?. When you have great ingredients, especially with asian flavors, you really don't need to do too much. It's delicious! So bring a friend and have a bowl at YF. And save that sugar bomb or processed goodies for special occasions.
