Whether you wake up to the perfect view. Or need an early morning hike to get there. A Nimbl Vehicle is your conduit to breathtaking experiences. ".. We moved further away from the crowds to get this shot. I wanted to capture the other hikers who had made the morning climb, looking like ants clinging to the side of the volcano .." Grabbing the opportunity to get out into nature is always a great idea. This week's prime camp spot is a secluded beach in Baja California. Get to the best camp spots, stay in style. Nimbl Vehicles #freedomtoroam [Image by - This Big Road Trip |Baja California,Mexico]
Hanging out with fellow overlanders is part of what makes the perfect road trip; whether you grab a friend to go along on the journey, or simply make new friends along the way. ".. It's always surprising how many times you bump into the same people. We met up with Jana and Fabio from @rideonthewildside quite a few times o the Pan American. They got stuck in Nicaragua, literally. They run a cool little hotel on the beach, purchased some land and now spend their days surfing .." [Image by - This Big Road Trip | Hopkins, Belize]
Nimbl Moments - Skinny dipping at a waterfall in Belize. Life on the road takes ,many twists and turn. The opportunity to cool off should never be taken lightly. Swim suit, or no swim suit. [Image by - This Big Road Trip | Cockscomb Basin, Belize]
The colours, the scenery, the truck and of course, the camper. An epic day out in south east Utah. [Image by - Marian Aloisio Miller | Utah, USA]
After getting 'stuck' in the wonderful Guiamaro Campsite for a few weeks This Big Road Trip felt a short break was in order. They headed through the Santander backroad trails, through pineapple, papaya, coffee and tobacco fields, right into the heart of the Chicamocha Canyon. Street camping in the tiny town of Jordán.
A new year, a new dawn, a new day. Whatever you have in mind for 2021. Explore more. Be adventurous. Ensure you have the freedom to roam. Dream Big.
With views like this, you'll be glad of the Nimbl Evolution's wide open feel, large windows and 180 view bed platform. With Nimbl your are immersed in nature, rather than simply viewing it. [Image by - This Big Road Trip | Barichara, Colombia]
Trying to find a backdrop to your vehicle is easy in South America. Epic vistas become your back yard when you find the perfect camp spot. Where will your Nimbl camper take you? [Image - Joe and Josée's Journey, Torres del Paine, Chile]
Typical. You wait all year to take your camper to the very bottom of the content. And then another one turns up to photobomb the occasion. [Image by - Karl Guided by Wolves | Ushuaia, Argentina]
NEW BLOG POST: Truckpacking Who's in? Those venturing further afield will find a very different version of overlanding to the remote camp spot driven version of overlanding in the US. More culture, more experience and yes, you may occasionally rough it in a terrible camp spot for a night or two. Truckpacking (backpacking's younger and more independent sister) is in town and a Nimbl camper is her perfect companion.
Every day exploring is a gift!
Every trail has its rewards. Some better than others. Feet up, cold beer. Sorted. [Image by - Marian Aloisio]
Where did you wake up at the weekend? This is a simply glorious semi-snow view from red rock state. Thankfully the great camper insulation and efficient /quiet heating system make for a very cozy night. [Image by - Kurt Bainum | Horsehoof Needles, Utah, USA]

The next you're eating lunch in the famous #Perseverancia Food Market in Bogotá. Absolutely delicious a little chaotic and amazing fun! .." We spent some time enjoying life in the desert with the guys from Expedition Portal and Overland Journal. Here’s their take on our Nimbl Evolution.

Sliding out of the weekend. ".. I think these cobbles were supposed to provide grip in the steeper sections of the trail. They ended up being more slippery than the perfectly good mud our M/T's were clawing their way through .." [Image by - This Big Road Trip | El Agostadero, Jalisco, Mexico]

Where did you wake up this weekend? Another great shot from one of our camper owners. A misty morning wake-up in the desert. [Image by - Karen Ulen | Amarillo, Texas - USA]
Belize doesn't seem to hold much of a love for paved roads. The trail to an idyllic town called Copper Break was split by a river at Sartejena. It required a short trip on a hand-cranked ferry crossing reach the other side. Be careful if you ask to have 'a go' because you may end up cranking the whole way. Thirsty work! [Image by - This Big Road Trip | Copper Break, Belize]
Nothing highlights a lack of faith in poor condition roads and sketchy drivers like requiring a priest to shower your vehicle with prayers! This amazing ritual takes place in Bolivia, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Daily at 10am, for those in the vicinity. [Image by - Guided by Wolves | Copacobana, Boilivia]
What's the most worrying beast you've had near your vehicle? ".. We spotted this guy scrabbling across the floor the other day. Apparently they are quite friendly, although I am not sure how friendly you'd want them to be. Thankfully, the only bugs we really get in the camper and the occasional small flying kind. It's at times like this we're glad our nice secure flatbed camper is a few feet off the floor .." [Image by - XXXX | Barichara, Colombia]
New Blog Post ".. It's not about the camper .." When it comes to overlanding, it's not about the camper. But, a quality vehicle that excels in its domain truly does give you the #freedomtoroam See This Big Road Trip's thoughts on the overland life by clicking the link below.
They Said It Couldn't Be Done. They said we couldn't cram this much adventure into such a compact package. Create something so spacious that remains so agile on... the trail. Create such a comfortable space with such freedom to roam. Create a vehicle that turns adventurers dreams into adventure reality. // Truck Camper Adventure - #1 Overland Truck Camper 2020 // Video by David Brier See more
Finding adventure in the landscapes of Colombia. ".. The climb out of the Chicamocha Canyon offered breathtaking views. At the bottom, alongside the river, the tiny town of Jordán offered some friendly, albeit hot and sweaty, street camping for the night and plenty of hiking through the tobacco fields .." [Image by - This Big Road Trip | Jordán, Colombia].
Happiness is ... hanging with your friends on a beach in Baja. With so many trails and so many beaches you'll be glad you own a vehicle that deals with both admirably. [Image by - Nomads365.com | Baja California, Mexico]
El Ramate, Guatemala - Mayan villagers wash their clothes against the rocks. Over time, the rocks have worn into smooth bowls. - The overland life leads to amazing camp spots, but travel is as much about culture as it is about scenery. When you have a vehicle as capable and comfortable as a Nimbl Evolution you can explore both worlds in style. Where will you end up? #freedometoroam
".. We pul into a tiny sun-baked village at the foot of a canyon in Colombia. The police have already checked in with us, apparently they don't see many of 'these types of vehicle' around here. We asked to camp for the night by the library just off the main plaza. "Si, tranquillo!" [Yes, don't worry!]. Half an hour after popping the roof we've cooked up a spaghetti bolognese. I ask Claire if we have any wine, "Yes, do you want red or white?" [Image by - This Big Road Trip | Jordán, Santander, Colombia] #truckcamperlife #freedomtoroam
Sunday. Where did you wake up this morning? Did you spend the weekend inspired? Out in nature. Looking for adventure or the path less travelled? Hot. Humid. Entirely inhospitable. Almost uninhabitable. Not even the Spanish dared venture in. Well, they did. But were primarily killed by the fierce Wayuu people who still, somehow, manage to live there today. In this blog post This Big Road Trip head off to South America's most northerly point in search of the Wayuu.
".. One of the things people discuss with long distance overland travel is safety. By and large this is not a topic even worth discussing. After three years on the road camping everywhere from beaches to town plazas, we have witnessed nothing but the wonderful kindness and compassion of humanity. We had just crossed the border from Mexico to Belize the day prior, and found a quaint little village and nice camp spot overlooking an estuary. In the morning, this local, stopping by to teach us which coconuts are best and how to get the milk .." [Image by - This Big Road Trip | Copper Point, Belize]
There are usually two things that people say when they step inside a Nimbl camper. 1 - "This looks like a boat!" Yes. The firbreglass interior is smooth and sleek, the layout. carefully planned. In fact, it was designed by a yacht designer. 2 - "It's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside" This is also true. The interior of the camper feels remarkably spacious thanks to the abundance of natural light, cleverly hidden shower and toilet cubicle and the fact that we kept nearly all the storage areas low eye level leaving eye level free of clutter. #freedomtoroam
Multi-Million dollar beachfront lot. Reverse in today for the bargain price of $0,000 and we'll throw in the occasional nude beach walker for free. [Zipolite, Mexico]

Where did you wake up this weekend? This image was taken by one of our owners on a morning that could be considered 'crisp'. Thankfully, our campers cope particularly well with cold weather thanks to the Webasto heating systems. [Image by - Kurt Bainum | White Rim Trail, Utah, USA]
Sometimes, even the lunch stops are picture-worthy. Pop the top and be meal prep ready in around 60 seconds. Very Nimbl! #freedomtoroam
What's it like to live in one of our campers full time? The Young's have been in their XP for two and a half years. Take a peek at their review of the camper published on the Truck Camper Adventure website. https://www.truckcamperadventure.com/review-of-the-nimbl-v/
The magical places that overlanding allows you to experience come in many forms. Man made sights and natural wonders are high on the list. But the opportunity to interact with ancient cultures in a world largely cut off from civilization is a real gem. Many of the Arhuaco do not see many visitors, and required elder approval to gain access to their idyllic village, hidden in the hills high above Pueblo Bello. This is not a video about off-road overlanding. It's a video about the overland road trip lifestyle; where off-road is simply one pice of an extended jigsaw. Join This Big Road Trip for one of these days; where the camper is a base, rather than transport. A hub from which to head off on various activities - running, shopping, eating out, climbing and working. Overland as a lifestyle where the camper gives you the #freedomtoroam.
The open road. Endless opportunities to explore the wilderness. Endless wilderness to go and choose from. Fill the fridge. Grab your soul mate. Take your home with you. We like to call it .... moving house. #freedomtoroam [Image by - This Big Road Trip | Gila Forest, New Mexico, USA]
The camper as a means to an end. Serenity. Reflection. The parched desert a spellbinding end to a day on the trail. When the sun goes down a three course meal and a chilled bottle of wine awaits before you sink into your queen size bed. #toooldfortents #freedomtoroam [Image by - This Big Road Trip | Wind Caves, Anza Borrego, California]
They said it could not be done! Nimbl Evolution Overland Truck Camper 2021. https://nimblvehicles.com/tour/
One of the greatest camp spots in the United States. The landscape is incredible, the viewpoint spectacular. The trail in is relatively tame with a little easy rock crawling at the end. A magnificent result for surprisingly little effort. [Image by - Karen Ulen | Alstrom Point, Utah, USA]
One of the great things about a Nimbl Vehicle is that, when you second guess yourself, it will probably still fit. We make our campers light and agile for the drive there, but spacious and comfortable once you arrive. Nimbl - #freedomtoroam [Image by - @thisbigroadtrip | Cenote Kankirixche, Yucatan, Mexico]
Check out the new Digital Nomad video from This Big Road Trip They are currently high up in the Andes, a beautiful mountain spot called La Peña scratching their climbing and hiking itch. In this episode, James discusses getting power to the camper and some 'working from the road' accessories.
That moment when you come to a standstill, the cloud of dust you've been kicking up for the last couple of hours drifts lazily past your truck . You look around. The dusty trail punctuated by the occasional dusty building. We are going in the right direction, aren't we? Lost in Guatemala but with a #freedomtoroam [Image by - This Big Road Trip | Somewhere, Guatemala]
One of the amazing things about the American South West, is the ability to drop yourself into the middle of the scene from a classic Western. If Wayne or Eastwood were to choose a vehicle to explore their old shooting grounds. We like to think they'd choose something Nimbl. #freedomtoroam [Image by - Karen Ulen | Toroweap, Arizona, USA]

We have some exciting stuff hitting the pipeline in the coming weeks, and this shot is part of the build up. A great day out on the playa this week with Scott Brady, Adam Morton and the Overland Journal / Expedition Portal crew. Watch this space.
