The Citi Panic Euphoria index moved up to 1.10, which is a level of extreme bullishness. This is a contrarian indicator and often results in lower Stock prices ahead. If we were to see a pullback from these levels, it could help Mortgage Bond prices move higher.

Pending Home Sales, which measures signed contracts on existing homes, were down 1.1% in October. This was less than the 2% gain expected, but sales are still up 20.2% year over year. The month of month decline was not due to a lack of demand but a lack of supply. Remember that supply of existing homes is down 20% year over year. If there were more homes on the market, there would be more sales. It's still impressive that sales are up 20.2% year over year with inventory down almost 20%.
