A cheap filter may not be so cheap in the long run. I've seen brand new filters with hairline fractures in the plastic. Buy OEM, original equipment manufacturer.

Since moving to Simi Valley (and loving it!), Simi Valley, Moorpark and the Conejo Valley have become a bigger and more important part of Stacy and my's lives and now we're looking to expand our business here too. If you have need for appliance repair or know of someone who does, we'd sure appreciate a call or a referral. And if I've done work for you in the past and you could throw a note up on Yelp, Facebook or NextDoor, I would very much appreciate it! Thank you :-) Matt Lavender

Tip for all front load washing machines. The mold on the rubber seal issue is an ongoing problem with all the front load machines on the market if you don't do the recommended precautions. Manufacturers recommend whenever the machine is not in operation to keep the door open and the dispenser slightly opened to keep the air and moisture in the machine from getting stagnant. Also, once a week, with a mixture of bleach and water wipe all around the rubber boot, fold forward th...e flap and clean behind there too. There are also various cleaners on the market that you should run through the machine on a monthly basis on it's hottest cycles and no clothes. Some machines now are even putting a "Clean" cycle on the machine soley for this purpose. Once that muck starts growing in there, it's tough/near impossible to get rid of without replacing the door boot and starting from scratch. It's expensive to replace the boot, but worth it if it doesn't come clean. Tide and Affresh are both cleaners that you can get from the grocery store. Keep those machines clean and they will keep your clothes cleaner too. Good Luck...... and Happy Washing!!! See more
