Nov. 21-23, 2014 This year the conference will be held at Westminster Woods Camp & Conference Center in the beautiful coastal redwoods of Occidental, Ca.... We invite you to be a part of another inspiring conference with your peers from California. Those new to the challenge course industry and others who have been around since time began are invited to share in community: sharing ideas, skills, socializing and networking. WHAT IS CCCN? The California Challenge Course Network is a collection of people involved the the challenge course industry as facilitators, managers, builders or interested participants. This of course includes our friends who use canopy tours and zip lines to challenge folks, as well as people who dabble in adventure trips, outdoor education, outdoor science or other similar pursuits. THIS YEAR’S CONFERENCE WILL INCLUDE: Several dynamic workshops by industry professionals Open space sessions with valuable presentations given by YOU the members Yummy food, a beautiful setting, conversations and FUN! So, Westminster Woods runs an Environmental Education Program as well, which often incorporates the Challenge Course. On CC days we meet the group to talk a bit about the expectations of the day. When asked, "How does Challenge Course relate to Environmental Education?" A 6th grade student from Pasteur replied: "Well, we are nature, so it helps us learn about the nature of being human." Absolutely. On point. Minds blown. It's all connected.
