Writing Camp

Two Marvel-ous Summer Writing Camps are approaching~ Session #1~July 17~19 for 6 & 7 year olds~9 a.m. to Noon~ Session #2~August 7~10 for 8 ~ 13 year olds~ 9 a.m. to Noon~ Marvel comics is this year's theme and students will create their own stories and convert them to comic book formats. We'll be applying all sorts of literary devices such as plot development, characterization, imagery, dialogue and more! The Jr. Session is $50 and the Sr. Session is $65. Costs include a tabbed binder with lesson handouts, tips on writing techniques, writing samples, rubrics and other tools to power up your child's writing skills! Interested? Last year I did a Star Wars Writing Camp and because of your interest, I am offering another Writing Camp for Summer 2017, except this year the theme is centered around Marvel Comics. So here's the details: The 2017 Marvel-ous Writing Camp for Juniors ages 6 ~ 7 will cover these standard elements of fiction: plot structure, character development, imagery and dialogue. The children's stories will be written in a comic book format, so there will also be a chance for the writers to illustrate their stories. Each day we'll share our writings followed by lunch and swim. Cost: $50 and each session runs from 9 ~ 12. Materials include a tabbed binder with oodles of lesson materials for future writing use. A mid-morning snack and nutritious lunch also are included.
