Vida. It means "life". That's what we're trying to give. Vida's mom reached out for help. @justintimejulie tagged us and we couldn't say no. We welcomed Amiga V...ida into our outreach program. What we thought was going to be a "simple " case of pyometra surgery has turned into a fight for life. Vida was seen at a vet a couple days ago, diagnosing pyometra and getting sent home with no pain meds, no antibiotics. Last night, once we gave our word to take financial responsibility to help Vida, her mom rushed her to the emergency vet to get surgery. Fortunately, she was stable and the surgeons felt Vida could wait until the morning for surgery. Unfortunately, things got worse. Via ultrasound and diagnostics, we learned Vida has a mass on her liver. The cause is yet to be determined but she is not well enough to have surgery. The fight for her life is in full swing. We have our battle gear on and ready to give her every chance to survive, Vida has her fighting spirit, and her family is armed with all the love and support Vida needs to give her reason to keep fighting. She was constantly near the baby, making sure he was okay at all times! She is the protector of our home and she is a great baby sitter too! Anytime my 3 year old is doing something naughty she starts barking up a storm to alert me! We LOVE our gal and we are so grateful to all the earth angels who have helped us. This is a true miracle!"
