"Twilight on Retro Canal" depicts a scene I copied (and colorized) from an old black and white calendar photo. The corner house (or at least a modern version t...hereof) still exists where Cabrillo Avenue meets another side street just west of Abbot Kinney Blvd. This canal and several others were filled in and paved over to make way for automobiles and progress in the 1940s.
