This August, TiVo Bangalore welcomed 14 of India’s brightest students with a kick-off ceremony featuring cake and a chance to meet with company leaders who spoke about TiVo’s culture of innovation, Customer Focus, Ownership, and Teamwork. Tivo treated employees and their families to a night out at the ballpark to watch the Durham Bulls take on the Gwinnett Stripers. Although the Bulls couldn’t quite score enough runs to defeat the Stripers, the game was still considered a win by the TiVo team. On Thursday, March 7, we celebrated International Women's Day in San Jose with a bake sale fundraiser, great camaraderie, and purple flowers. We raised almost $700 for Catalyst, a global non-profit that helps build workplaces that work for women, and drives change to accelerate and advance women into leadership.

At the TiVo Bangalore office, we began the new year with dynamic young minds presenting their learnings and a fresh league of interns joining the team. Our lucky number this year is ‘Seven’, as 7 interns joined us in the last week of January and 7 interns presented their projects at the 7th edition of the Intern Showcase. Innovation, collaboration and much more! Our Intern Showcase event, held on January 30th, was a fantastic way to kick-start the new year at TiVo India! The ...7 talented young ladies who started their internship with us in July 2018, who joined us from colleges across the country, got an opportunity to present their internship projects and share their learnings with their mentors and colleagues. The demos showcased solutions that directly impact product and service delivery. This was also a chance for our folks to gain the interns’ fresh perspective on technology at TiVo. For the past 10 years, TiVo Burbank has graciously participated in the YWCA Adopt-A-Family Holiday Drive. 2018 marked another successful year of bringing smiles and joy to many families this holiday season!

European Women in Technology Summit Amsterdam Between November 28th and 29th, the ladies from the TiVo Romania Engineering Center participated in the European Women in Technology event in Amsterdam. It was a great branding opportunity for TiVo and a highly anticipated event for all the attendees. The speaker list for the conference included 120+ women from leading corporate companies and many more in roles such as VPs, CEOs, General Managers, Heads of Diversity & Inclusion,... Engineers and others. The conference had 11 tracks with an extensive range of topics such as career & personal development, soft skills, product design, agile, emerging technologies and so on. From my perspective, the most inspiring talks I attended were 'Why Diversity Makes You Smarter' and 'The Gendered Experience with IT: Chances and Dangers for Women’s Rights' said Sinziana Repede, one of the delegates Participating at an event of this magnitude gave the attendees an opportunity to network with more than 2000 inspiring ladies from across Europe. They also had a chance to catch up with the emerging technologies and the latest trends and innovation in technology.

Women in Tech Summit Poland TiVo was a sponsor at the Women in Tech Summit, held on November 27th and 28th 2018 in Warsaw. This summit was the first of its kind in the region, and nearly 3000 delegates from across Europe attended this year. The event offered a lineup of speakers and sessions that covered a range of topics like deep dives into future technologies, leadership skills, entrepreneurship and so on. Employees from the TiVo Poland team got the opportunity to attend... these sessions and network with the speakers and other delegates. To engage with the attendees and promote our brand, we hosted a booth on both the days - and this was a great success! The delegates were super-enthusiastic about understanding the TiVo products and technologies. The goodies we distributed were a huge hit as well, especially the lucky draw prizes! Kudos to the organizing team - Marta Kalbarczyk, Tomasz Lukaszewski, Agnieszka Duleba-Rossa and Ula Niemirska for their tireless efforts A special thank-you to Pawel Piotrowski, Artur Nosowski, Jakub Rozwalak and Andrzej Stefanski for supporting us at the booth and speaking to the delegates about the great work that we do. The TiVo Tulsa team helped to share the joy of Christmas season this year by adopting 30 angels through the Salvation Army Angel Tree. The angels adopted were 25 youths and 5 elderly angels ranging in age from 2 months to 83 years old. The Tulsa Area Salvation Army serves more than 2,000 families in the Tulsa metropolitan area through the Angel Tree program! This is the eighth year for Tulsa to participate with the Salvation Army. ... Thank you to all the Tulsa employees who adopted an angel this year!

For the second year in a row, TiVo was a sponsor at the Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI), held from November 14th to 16th in Bangalore. GHCI is India’s largest gathering of women in technology. The conference offers a lineup of sessions that cover an extensive range of topics like leadership skills, loT, entrepreneurship and so on. The TiVo India team hosted a booth, which was a huge hit at the event! We had a range of activities at the stall - quizzes, lucky draws, soci...al media campaigns and much more! Our ‘TiVo Trivia’ quiz, based on a treasure hunt theme, saw phenomenal participation. The contestants had to find the answers within the booth, as well as a brochure, and this brought out their competitive streak! Some exciting goodies were up for grabs as well. We gave out nail polish with TiVo branding to all the stall visitors, which were very well received! See more
