We made it out of that toilet-paper-pillaged daze of 2020! We are grateful for everyone who stopped by. We are stoked to have met new customers, wrench on all the homies guitars, and keep this shop rolling into 2021. @atomic_garden_east stopped by with this rad project. It started as a ‘73 @gibsonguitar Les Paul cherry burst. Finish got stripped to unleash that beast. A new wiring harness made with Switchcraft switch and jack, CTS pots, and Orange drop capacitors. Custom @ri...ghteoussoundpickups humbuckers. Upgraded Grover tuners and Bigsby whammy for a whole look. The headstock was missing a corner of binding. Had to make binding to match the white/black/white/black/white original. That was a tough process. I ended up making the binding several times because I wasn’t happy with the miter joint or the mustache bend. I’m so stoked to be able to work on these instruments y’all bring us. 2020 was rough. It’s still a struggle who we kidding. The shop is keeping me going tho. For real for real! Not gonna lie- it’s been a busy, stressful, fun, and caffeinated time so far. Owning and running a shop is a lot of work, a lot of learning, and a lot of coffee. Did I mention that I’ve been drinking a lot more coffee lately? Alright everyone loves an old Fender right? Here’s one from 1963. This guitar is 23 years older than me (Tomm). P old and v cool. Sounds really great. It’s in for a general setup. It has a brass nut installed aftermarket. All the foam under the pickups and on the mute have been smooshed to oblivion. Picture 2 shows off the low frets and some divots from fret wear. This is in refret territory but customer wanted to improve the setup only and that’s what we did! #woodstreetguitarrepair #vintageguitar #fenderjaguar
