"I will sing of the Lord's great love forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness through all generations." Psm. 89:1 As we approach Valentine's Day our minds tum to expressions of love Our Bible tells us that we should do the same for the our Lord. Not only should we express our love for Him but also express His love for us. We should take every opportunity to tell others of how God has been faithful to us. Tell of His answered prayers, tell of of how He has ...touched others and tell of of His faithfulness to all of us. I often sing praise songs that speak of these things. The verse also says to tell them to all generations. I used to sing Bible songs to my grandchildren from the time they were born expressing how much God loves them and that He has a plan for their lives. I am happy to say that each of them received Jesus at an early age and now are passing their belief onto their own children. So what am I saying? Take every opportunity to spread the good news of Jesus's work on the cross rather it be to your grandchildren, great grandchildren, your neighbors, the worker at the grocery story, the homeless or whoever God places in your path. Start each day off by asking God to place someone in your path. Maybe it will be via a phone call, a person you meet or a song you are singing that gets someone's attention. Make His faithfulness known to all generations. Our world will be a better place because you did. A brief prayer for the day: "Father God - allow me to be Your missionary to those who I come in contact with today. Give me the words to say to show others Your love. Amen" Listen to a Father's Love Letter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsBhvSMQUk4 Just a reminder - Valentines Day is just 4 days away.

"In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid." Ps. 56:4 Learning to trust in the Lord is no easy task - but the more we practice it the easier it becomes. It was a harder task for me maybe because I had been married to a man for 12 years who abused me both physically and mentally. I had trusted him to love and protect me from the start of our marriage and he did the opposite. After I escaped from my marriage ...I had a hard time trusting anyone else including God. It wasn't until a few years later that I learned that God could not only be trusted but in that trust we are set free from fear. I had just started seminary and was on a trip to the Holy Lands. We were in Jerusalem and a group of us had decided to take a walk through one of the tunnels which in Biblical times would bring water into the Temple grounds. We had been told that there would be little bit of water maybe as high as our shoes. So when we came to the opening of the tunnel all there was was a hole in the wall. When it was my tum I hesitated. I was afraid of the dark and did not want to go in. I could hear God's voice speaking to me, "Do you trust me?" He asked me three times before I said yes. As I stepped into the tunnel I found myself in water up to my chest and in complete darkness. Just as I was about to panic I noticed a light up ahead of me. Someone had brought a mining hat with a light on top. As long as I could see the light my fear was gone. The rest of the walk was wonderful God spoke a lot to me that day. Proverbs 3:5 says we should trust in the Lord with all of our heart and not lean on our own understanding but acknowledge Him and He will make our path straight. God can be trusted so we don't need to be afraid. God casts out all fear. We can rest assured we are in His good hands. A Blessed good morning! Welcome to Woodley Community Church!

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Phil. 4:0 This is simple, pray about everything. I don't know about you but sometimes I feel like God does not hear my prayers because I do not see an answer immediately. We have grown up in an instant world.... We want our food now. thus the Fast Food industry is so popular. We want to see our doctor now and complain if we have to wait longer than ten minutes to get in. We don't like to stand in lines at the bank or the market. We want it now. However, prayer is different. God does things in His time when it is the right time. Just because you don't see an answer today it doesn't mean He didn't hear you or has chosen not to answer. I remember when I was in seminary at Fuller. There was a group of us from Pentecostal Denominations who would get together on Friday and Saturday nights to pray that God would pour out His Spirit afresh on the Seminary and especially on its professors. I left the seminary the following year to take a job teaching at a small Christian school up in Lake Arrowhead. It wasn't until years later when I was taking a course on the Book of Acts that I came across a series of books written by one of my professors, Peter Wagner, in which he describes his experience of being baptized in the Holy Spirit. When I read the date of this occurrence I realized that it was at the same time we had been praying for this very thing. Sometimes God calls us to stand in the gap and pray for certain things. We may never see the answer to those prayers but rest assured God is answering them. So don't give up praying. I was on a mission trip down to a small village in Mexico. We were doing a vacation Bible school for the youth and revival meetings at night. I will never forget our first day there, we had just began our program when an elderly woman began sobbing. I ran over to her to inquire what was wrong. Through her tears she told me that she had been praying for forty years for Salvation to come to her village and today God had answered hat prayer. I often think about that when I get impatient waiting for God to answer but if she could pray for forty years and not give up You and I can too. Ask God to remind you of prayers you have given up on and go back on your knees and try again. A simple prayer: "Father - we live in a world were everyone wants everything now. Teach us Father to be patient. Teach us that all things occur in Your time. Lord as we learn from You that we may not see the answers to our prayers, but You are working in Your way in Your time. Amen" Click here for a little more about In His Time - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJeNUlNY7Iw Join us Tuesday Morning for a Church workday at 9:00 a.m. Guys don't forget Valentines Day is only 6 days away. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Amen ISAIAH 40:29 It seems everywhere you turn there is sorrow, tears, suffering and death. It can be so overwhelming that your soul grows weary from the weight of discouragement and your body screams out for strength to go on. But before you are tempted to succumb to a state of hopelessness, cry out to Jesus to give you strength.... The Bible says in Isaiah 41:10" Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." As long as you are walking with Jesus, you have nothing to fear, for God will provide you with everything you need to face each day. So be patient and wait upon God, that you might receive His strength as He promised. Ask God to take away all discouragement, doubt, and fear and replace them with His strength to make it through every challenging and stressful situation. All you need to do is pray, "Lord, give me strength." Amen Click hear for a relaxing moment with Help from the Lord! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKg9j_xNxbU See you in Church at 10:25 this morning for more inspiring music.

Only fear the LORD, and serve him faithfully with all your heart: for consider what great things He has done for you. 1 SAMUEL 12:24 You may think you are too small and insignificant in this world to make a difference, but that's simply not true. Everyone has the opportunity, with Holy Spirit power, to change the world - but only if you are willing to allow God to take charge of your life. With God's power and strength, there is nothing that you cannot do.... "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans" And "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." When you surrender your heart and life to Jesus, you become changed. You no longer see life the same way. You look at situations and challenges differently, because God has equipped you to handle them with grace, integrity, loyalty, and tender mercy. And when you become obedient, God is able to use you to change the world around you. Listen for God's voice calling you today - and answer saying, " Here am I Lord, send me." Amen Click here and say "Here am I Send Me" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bmswv0WolYQ Tomorrow is the Lord's day. Now also when I am old and gray headed ,O God, forsake me not until I have shown thy strength unto this generation and thy power to everyone that is to come. Psalms 71:18 Just thinking of getting old is not bad, at all just a reminder of it as a Memorializing, just looking back the years! good and bad, trials, blessings of young age to old age! Lots of things to talk about. Secondly it could be an encouraging years! To think about the good ol' times and How God has been good... and faithful to me in spite of my shortcomings. I could always reflect of His goodness. Being old is a blessing, to be able to TELL YOUR STORY! Like how you came to know the Lord, to share your ups and downs, How Jesus came to seek and save a sinner like you and me, that it is ok to cry because tears are language that God understands. And that we can tell God is True. And being old we can speak to the younger generations, most of all we can be a mentor to young people. Someone has said as we aged our memory will fail but one thing I can't forget, I am a sinner saved by grace and Jesus is my Savior. Amen. Worth getting Old. Have a blessed day and let us get busy sharing the good news. Click hear to listen to Mandisa singing "Good News" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKDrg8qPt70 Join us this Sunday in the Sanctuary or live on Facebook as we receive the Lord's message in verse and in song. I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. John 15:5 As we focus this day, as we should each day, on a renewal of our time with the Lord - we are called, as children of the Lord to remain in union with Him. How can we be in union with Christ? The Bible gives us many examples. In Christ we are justified (Rom. 8:1), glorified (8:30), s...anctified (1 Cor. 1:2), called (1:9); made alive (Eph. 2:5), created anew (2 Cor. 5:17), adopted (Gal. 3:26), and elected (Eph. 1:45). Today as we celebrate the Communion, we acknowledge that in the bread and wine of the Lord’s Supper, God impresses in our bodies the truth and reality of our ongoing union with the living Savior. The Lord’s Supper, in other words, is a visible and edible experience of the exceedingly good news that Christ dwells in us and that we dwell in him. Christ brought us into the eternal life that He is by giving us Himself, and He continues to nourish and sustain us through His real presence. We have really and truly become one with Christ through His gospel, and we continue to receive Christ through the gospel of bread and wine that He has ordained as means of His ongoing presence to His body and bride the church. A simple Prayer: Teach me how to be connected and dwell with you all the time so that I can live a fruitful life. Listen to I am the Vine https://youtu.be/oHr7Z7ZS3GE Join us this morning in the sanctuary and on Face Book as we celebrate Communion with Christ. If you are at home watching, please prepare to join us in Communion by having a cup and bread, symbolizing Christ's sacrifice, available during the service.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Amen JAMES 4:8 If you want to have stronger faith and trust in God, then you must have an intimate relationship with Him. And the best way to do that is to set aside special time in your day just to spend in prayer, praise, and worship. The more time you spend with Jesus, the more you will love Him, and the more you will want to spend time with Him.... As you see real answers to prayer and witness, firsthand, God's working in your life, your faith will grow. You'll develop a trust so strong, so genuine, and so real that it will affect every aspect of your life. Best of all, your faith will be a tremendous blessing, not only to you, but to everyone you meet. The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 32:20 that if we don't have faith, God will hide His face from us. That is powerful! God's Word makes it very clear just how important faith is. Pray and ask God to give you more faith and don't be late for your daily faith-building appointment with God.! armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness Ephesians 6: 13-14 What purpose does it serve to take the whole armor of God? Why can’t we just take piece, maybe one Bible verse, or just a brief prayer (forgetting to be thankful for the gifts of the Lord). Do you remember the story of Achilles. According to Greek mythology Ac...hilles was the bravest, handsomest, and greatest warrior. Yet, according to the story, despite being covered in armor, Achilles was fatally wounded in his heel. He bled out, and died. His one weakness. What’s your one weakness? Just as Achilles was covered in armor, we need to cover ourselves with the armor of God, How do you gird your loins with truth? The Bible tells us that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Gird your loins with the truth of Jesus Christ. Without Jesus, without truth, the rest of our armor would be of no use because we would not have the Spirit of Truth. The breastplate of righteousness refers to the righteousness purchased for us by Jesus at the Cross. At the time of salvation, a breastplate is issued to each repentant sinner. This breastplate is specially designed by God to protect our heart and soul from evil and deception. As we wear Christ’s breastplate of righteousness, we begin to develop a purity of heart that translates into actions. Wearing this breastplate creates a lifestyle of putting into practice what we believe in our hearts. There is more to the full amourmuch morebut we need to remember that the full armor, like a warrior fitted for battle, is necessary to hold off the attempts of the evil one to break through and take us to his domain. A short prayer: God cover me with Your armor, grid my loins with the Truth of Your Son Jesus Christ. Help me Father to wear Your Breastplate with honor and glorify Your name before all others. Thank you Lord for the gift of Love and strength that comes from You. Amen The Armor of God https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dITBAdCdOVU Prayer requests: Rosie Thompson feel and broke her hip.
