Hello friends of Woodbury Family Optometry... Due to the recent lifting of restrictions by the state for the COVID pandemic, we are planning to open the office to "normal" operations on Friday, May 15th. It will be a lighter schedule to limit the number of people in the office at any time. We are doing extra measures for the safety of our patients and our staff. We are wiping down surfaces and commonly touched areas frequently. Masks MUST be worn by everyone while in the... office. We have several sources of hand sanitizer throughout the office. The staff will be washing their hands several times throughout the day. We ask some favors of YOU when you come to the office: 1) Please wear a mask and other PPE when entering the office. 2) The doors may be locked when you arrive. Please call us when you arrive and instructions will be given. 949-786-0143. 3) If you are new to our office, please submit your information online prior to arriving to the office. Limiting the number of people in the office will help to maintain "social-distancing". Even though we are not currently open for "normal" services, we are still available for ordering of contact lenses and glasses, pick-ups of glasses and contact lenses, repairs to glasses and any issues with the eyes, i.e., redness, trauma, sudden changes in vision, etc. You can browse a limited frame catalog on our website, www.woodburyoptometry.com. Let us know ahead which ones you like and we can have waiting for you when you come into the office. Be sure to call us, though, before arriving. We apologize for any inconveniences the office closure may have caused. We want to accommodate you, but we have to follow restrictions set at the federal, state and local levels. Due to the current "Shelter at Home" orders, we are still closed for routine care. We ARE here, though for medical appointments - eye infections, injuries to your eyes, etc. We are also still taking orders for contact lenses, as well. We currently have staffing between 10 am - 2 pm, Tuesdays thru Friday. If you happen to need glasses, we have a limited online catalog you can peruse. WoodburyOptometry.com. For those that didn't have a chance to use your insurance benefits and those that have FSA Funds that will be forfeited if not used by the end of the year, we will be in the office on Sunday, December 31st from 10 am - 2 pm. Come by and pick out your new glasses; it's never "out of season" to pick out new sunglasses. Ask about our multiple pair discounts! Hope to see you here!

Halloween is coming!!! For those looking for contact lenses to wear for Halloween, please allow time for ordering of the lenses. Place orders before 10/20 to make sure we have them on time!

Solar Eclipse on Monday 08/21/2017 With the solar eclipse coming next week, a couple of things to keep in mind; 1) Only view the event with proper protective glasses. Dark sunglasses WILL NOT properly protect your eyes from the extremely harmful rays from the event. There are protective glasses available being made specifically for viewing the event. We have some of these in our office, in limited quantity.... 2) Even with proper protection, there is still risk of ocular damage. Please use extreme caution, as permanent damage may result. Please enjoy the event, but BE SAFE!
