No handshakes for the next couple weeks

It isn't often when a student leaves your Dojo and continues their training under the guidance of another instructor and finishes what they started. Tanay Rai started his martial art training in 2012 and this video was of his second testing in December of that same year. Fast forward to February 9, 2020 and he was promoted to Black Belt from his instructor Annette Dancel from Dancel's Academy of Tae Kwon Do. I was fortunate to be there to watch along with several other of my instructors Allyssa and Adriana Fazlee who helped Tanay on his journey. I was also blessed to be able to tie on his belt in unison with his Instructor Annette Dancel.

Ran into one of my old martial art students today. Mr. Tom Cruz, he is the owner of America's Best Karate in downtown Niles.

It is leg day. Dedicated students up early, training with the sunrise. 1.6 mile run and then lots of kicks. Jello legs setting in at this point. Must train harder. Next week 2 miles and power kicks.
