Mychelle Fitzgerald from MY Furniture Creations gave a lecture on using a metal effects process to turn a piece of furniture into a one of a kind piece of art. This special process gives wood furniture an appearance of metal. She used a 4 step process with products from Modern Masters which is the world's number one supplier of high-end Oxidizing finishes. These products give the artist a lot of freedom to create and never make the same design twice. She worked with Copper, Iron and Bronze to create a patina effect on the top of a Laine Chest. Her solid wood piece from the 1950's was brought into the year 2020 with a shining spotlight. Mychelle offers workshops where you can learn how to create similar works of art. Check out her website at www.MYFurnitureCreations.com

https://www.pacresourcecenter.org Our Lead's Club members reached out to this local non-profit organization with individual donations to help a family in need. This is a difficult economic time for all of us but we still felt it important to help others. We can get through this crisis together.
What a great ZOOM meeting we had this week. Lots of innovative ideas on how to recreate your business and personal life to adjust to staying at home. Here are our top 10 ideas. I hope our Lead's Club can inspire you. Let's stay PRODUCTIVE!!! 1. Organizing a new Art Space in garage and taking an on-line art class to learn more about technique. 2. Helping Seniors who are isolated.... 3. Participating in Ethical Business Community coming together to keep their production commitments to factories 4. Hair salon offering "to go" hair color to clients 5. Growing great hope from seeing our community coming together and people slowing down to spend more time with family. 6. Making sure to maintain a normal work schedule to keep focused on goals. 7. Taking advantage of the down time to learn something new and diving into projects around the house. 8. Watching YouTube videos on how to promote my business. 9. Creating a 30-day Gratitude page on Facebook 10. Sleeping in, NO traffic, On-line Happy Hour...Yippee!
If you have extra time on your hands, here's a great tutorial on How to make surgical masks.
What a great way to start the day - staying connected in spite of shelter in place restrictions impacting all of us and most of our businesses! These ladies rock! Walking the talk of the last part of our creed which says: "I make a commitment to the success and prosperity of myself and Leads Club members."
Our networking group is amazing in so many ways. We are all coming together to help support each other through this difficult time when all of our businesses are feeling the impact of the virus. I want to give Audrey a big shout out for recommending my business on Next Door. Below is the "before" and "after" project for the lead you sent me. Working on this piece of furniture really helped me block out the crazy environment around me. Thank you Leads Ladies for being such a positive force and encouragement.
During the holiday season our club adopted a family of five from the Pacifica Resource Center and provided gift cards and items from their "wish list". The family sent us beautiful handmade thank you cards. So heart warming to know that we could make a difference in a families life during the holiday season.
Our Environmental and sustainability focused Artist show at Patagonia gave us the opportunity to show our creations. We handed out lots of business cards and made great connections for future business. Thank you leads members for supporting this event by your attendance.
We haven't even reached the end of January and our passed leads have already generated $35K. We are an unstoppable group of women who support each others success. You won't find a better reason to get up early on a Thursday morning than our 7:00 a.m. weekly meetings. Come join us and find out more details.
Ellen Brook and Mychelle Fitzgerald (members of Lead's Club) have been invited to share their pieces of artwork/furniture at this Environmental and Sustainability Event sponsored by Patagonia. Come join us as we learn how manufacturing corporations take responsibility for the impact of their activities on customers, employees, communities and the environment.
