Hi there, Hermosa Beach Woman's Club is excited to announce Jean Lombardo Young Musicians Competition... Get the recognition you deserve for those long hours practicing SELECT A CLASSICAL PIECE AND ANOTHER OF YOUR CHOICE Record it and Send it in! Deadline to submit is January 25th, 2021 Categories are: Vocalist, Pianist, Other Instrumentalist A $500 scholarship will be awarded by the Hermosa Beach Woman’s Club to the winner ALL submissions will also be sent to the Marina District of Woman’s Clubs, and State for more scholarship opportunities GUIDELINES: Applicant must be under 22 years of age Send TWO selections - one Classical plus one of your choice Entries may be submitted online in an MP3 format or CD (audio only no video) and will not be returned Fill out the Application (Prior applicants are not eligible) Include a brief resume with both Musical and Academic accomplishments Hermosa Beach Woman’s Club winner will be announced February 10th, 2021 and the scholarship funds will be presented at our May meeting, where we would also like to request a performance for our group. ALL applications will then be sent to the District for additional scholarship consideration in late March. The winners of the District scholarship will also be sent to the State for additional opportunities in May, so there is a possibility of three awards! DEADLINE: 1. Application, 2. Brief resume, 3. Just a few holiday memories of last year (pre-covid). WCHB.

We are so so so grateful for all of our members who participated in our annual Adopt a Family project. Unlike normal years, we adopted FOUR families and we hope their Christmas looks a little brighter. These gifts (along with gift cards from our WC funds) will be delivered this weekend. If you participated, please feel free to share. Maybe there are other women in our community who want to join our various projects?

Thank you to everyone who joined our Holiday Wine Tasting party yesterday on Zoom with Jeff Bonafede of Uncorked Hermosa, The Best Tasting Wine Shop! We had such a lovely time talking about Italy, bubbles, private wine tastings and and friendships. We hope everyone has a beautiful and magical holiday season as best they can.
