Brilliant for summer!

Blackjack is such an easy game to play this summer and your child even realize they are practicing their addition facts, they'll just feel like they are playing a game. (So they will want to "practice" more often). http://erikafinn.com/blackjack-math-quick-addition/

Nolan had a goal of reading 100 words per minute, and he just crushed that goal and read 124! Way to go Nolan!!

Such a great reminder!

Avoid that summer slide this year. A couple hours a week working will make a big difference in the fall. One of my favorite ways to get kids working is doing a summer journal. Message me if you need any tips.

We had so much fun doing a holiday themed escape room last week. It was an awesome way to switch up class and celebrate the holidays. The kids worked so well together as a team! It was fun to watch them figure out each clue and make it to the final code for their prize.

Our elf has been so busy!! She brought us back a "snowman," she stole our chairs and left pillows, she hung 5 dozen donuts on the ceiling, she toilet papered our classroom and tree, she stole the candy and left brussel sprouts, she stole our bean bag and left a donut float and dog bed, she left us reindeer poop, and gave us an ipad as a prize (eye pad!LOL) But my favorite is the joke candy canes she leaves! Those faces! Great job Elfy! Until next year...

Our elf has been so busy!! She created a duct tape trap in the bathroom, hung rugs from the ceiling, duct taped herself to the ceiling, left dog bones instead of candy, stole the prizes and left "carpet burritos," glued our markers shut, hid hearts with each kid's name and and candy cane for them to find, stole our bean bag chair and left a rocking horse, photocopied her butt (yikes! Elfy!), she made herself student of the month, and left a bag of beans for our new bean bag! Can't wait for the kid's to see what she does next week!
