The amazing Opolo Winery just confirmed. They’re not just donating, but will be attending. Virtually every winery are representing themselves this year. A long-time homeowner had asked me the other day, "So who is putting on Wine in the Pines this year?" I thought they were joking, but they weren't! So I would like to provide some insight to this Wine in the Pines is organized solely by the PMCCPOA (Pine Mountain Club Commercial Property Owners), which is different than the PMCPOA (Pine Mountain Club Property Owners Association, often referred to as the clubhouse). The PMCCPOA would be the people who own commercial buildi...ngs in the Pine Mountain Village. However, to break that up even more, the PMCCPOA has a board of directors and they are the ones who collaborate these festivals. And to break it up even further, Mark Bailey is the President of the PMCCPOA so technically, actually literally, he runs the festivals. And apparently somewhere in our pre-nup there was a clause that said I would help him run these festivals, so I do (ok, we didn’t really have a pre-nup it was just assumed I would be his festival assistant). There is no COMPANY that puts on this event (never has been), there are not volunteer committees, there is not a task force committee, there are not fundraising committees there is not a Wine in the Pines committee it’s Mark Bailey (along with some help from his wife) that do the majority of the work behind the scenes, day in and day out to help make our town the place that people want to visit, over and over again. So those of you that have questions about your tickets, the cost of tickets, vendor booths, where you can and cannot park, where you can stay, where you can eat, what you can do.etcWell, those emails go to us and we answer these emails as quickly as we can 24/7 year round. Yes, year round. Wine in the Pines is a work in progress throughout the year. We would appreciate your patience if we don’t get to your email on the same day, but we do our best. Please keep in mind too, our time is simply time we donate to the community to make people want to come back to our beautiful mountain (yes, it’s all just volunteer work). We love the beauty of Pine Mountain and love sharing that with others to enjoy. So please bring your friends and come join us on Saturday, June 9th it would be rewarding to see you there. THIS WILL BE THE BEST ONE YET! We are excited to have so many high caliber wineries attending this year. Tickets are only sold online at www.wineinthepines.com and online sales will end Tuesday, June 5th, at midnight (ticket sales after that will just be on the day of the event at the entry gate).
