Repost: @chinatownlapl According to @nationalcancerinstitute, approximately 39.5% of men and women will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their lifetimes. In 2020, roughly 1.8 million people will be diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Of those diagnosed, about 606,000 will die. Children and adolescents (ages 0-19): 16,850 will be diagnosed with cancer and 1,730 will die of the disease. Estimated national expenditures for cancer care in the United States ...in 2018 were $150.8 billion. In future years, costs are likely to increase as the population ages and more people are diagnosed with cancer. Let’s talk about this.
