Willits has been flagged as an affected area for this week's Heat Advisory and Excessive Heat Watch on Thursday 6/17/21 through Friday 6/18/21 between the hours of 11am-11pm for temps up to 105. High temps pose a danger to those working or participating in outdoor activities and increase the potential for heat-related illnesses. From US National Weather Service Eureka California: While most of the coast will remain seasonably cool, inland temperatures will heat up this week,... with 90s across the interior valleys for highs by Wednesday. Even hotter temperatures are in store for Thursday and Friday. An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect for portions of interior northwest California on Thursday and Friday. This heat will result in a moderate to locally high risk of heat-related illness. Population groups that are sensitive to heat will be most prone to heat-related illness, but all people should take care to avoid excessive heat exposure later this week, especially Thursday and Friday afternoon and evening.
