It was on June 6, 1939 the Will Rogers statue that stands outside the U.S. House Chamber was unveiled. To this day It is one of the most viewed statues in that ...hallowed hall because it is where the TV news catches Congressmen when they leave the Chambers. Will's sister, Sallie McSpadden, was one of the people who released the covering. Also on hand were Will's. three children and Sallie's daughter Paula McSpaden Love, the first Will Rogers Memorial executive director. See more

Will Rogers State Park has reopened the Backbone Trail entrance which had been closed due to the fire in Topanga Canyon. Be apprised you may be stopped from entering Topanga as they work on post-fire reconstruction. Have a safe Memorial Weekend!

The day I roped Betty was the greatest performance of my life. Happy 112th anniversary to Will and Betty Rogers! On this day in 1908, Will and Betty were married in a simple ceremony at her family’s home in Rogers, Arkansas.

On his day, September 22, 1918 Laughing Bill Hyde", Will's first movie, opened in New York City. In 1927, on this day, Will and Betty, flew from San Diego to Los Angeles in plane piloted by Charles Lindbergh.
