It’s been a long time since I posted a new card update. This one, along with the five other that are hot off the press, are just simple sentiments that we are all feeling right now. It’s tough guys. We’re approaching a year later of two weeks to flatten the curve. Fatigue and sadness is real - do you know someone who might need you to send them a card?

We’re open today and tomorrow from 10-12:30! Stop by and check out all of our shiny new things, and say hello to my amazing mother-in-law and niece who are running the shop today! #wildinkpressshop

You guys: WE HAVE HOURS! 10 to 12(30 ish) pm Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10-2 pm Wednesdays. Mondays and Fridays usually follow the Tuesday/Thursday schedule but I’m not listing them on the door because they’re not 100% consistent. ___ It’s not impressive, but it’s a start! This change is because my sweet Charlotte is in preschool. Not an easy decision to make, but it means me and two of my boys can be here, classroom zooming and filling orders, and we can’t wait to see you!! Our free next day delivery in Chico still works for any day, so if we’re not open you can order online. ____ Thanks so much for your patience with us as we navigate this journey. These past six months have been so hard with such uncertainty for wild ink press. Hopefully this is a little light at the end of a long narrow tunnel.

Still love this sign (even if the cobwebs are winning). Popping in with our hours this week! We’re open today 10-2, Tuesday 10-12, and Thursday 10-2. Can’t wait to see your (masked) faces! #wildinkpress

Happy Fourth of July weekend from Charlotte’s Ice Cream Shoppe! _____ This was my most fun diy so far of covid-19! I ordered a kid kraft wood playhouse from Walmart of all places (swipe to see the before/box), and then my 12 year old and I assembled it, painted it, added Tudor details and turned it into an ice cream shop! It is a fantastic hit with the kids. We also bricked in the dirt with reclaimed bricks, added walkable groundcover (baby tears and Irish moss) and installed a swing. So fun to see ideas become a reality. @ Chico, California

We’re open until 2:30 today! Restocking tea towels, gift wrap and journals - feels so good to be actually creating a few extras in our stock bins rather than filling orders on the fly each day. Come say hi! #wildinkpress #ourshopfloorsays

Ranunculus from @pinecreekflowers, combined with peonies and hydrangea from my garden, equals a little early Mother’s Day present to myself. _____ Happy weekend, friends! We loved delivering orders today, and will see more of you tomorrow! #wildinkpresslovesflowers @ Chico, California

We are extremely excited to announce that starting tomorrow you can find our Mother’s Day cards (all of them!) at Pine Creek Flowers stand on Oak Way. They are open 10-5 on Thursdays (there’s two of those before Mother’s Day). You can swing by, buy your mom flowers and get a card to go with it! Cards are $5 and we are requesting cash transactions to make it easier for Craig and Emma. We are so grateful to them for their camaraderie and support during these difficult times! Plus, have you seen their flowers? They are amazing.

BIG NEWS: we are now offering free next day delivery in Chico on orders over $35! _____ I’ve been going into the shop most mornings before 6:45 AM to ship out our online orders and keep our small number of wholesale orders going. While I’d really like to do curbside pick-up hours, with four kids and homeschooling them AND my husband being gone all day at the farm, it is a no-go. The thought of hanging for hours on end at wild ink press with just my four kids and I there act...ually brings real shivers to my spine. But then I thought, hey! We can deliver! So starting this week, order online on our website, use the code CHICODELIVERY at checkout. Be sure to put your address where you want the delivery as your shipping address, any pertinent comments on where to leave the package in your notes. Also include your cell phone so we can text you when we are dropping it off. The next day it will show up at your door! Contactless card delivery. It’s that simple. ______ With Mother’s Day, graduation and Father’s Day all coming up (plus birthdays and all our socially distanced friends), we want you to stay in touch with the very best: cards and the written word. Thank you for supporting a local small business! Please like, comment and share to get the word out. It means the world to us. ______ #wildinkpress #chicoca #buttestrong #stayhome #staysafe See more

It is with heavy hearts that we close @wildinkpress_shop for the time being. I have shed many tears, and thought through many scenarios, but in the end this is the best solution we could come up with for our little business given the circumstances. Stay healthy and safe, and know that you are loved. Maybe when we make it to the other side people will remember that they could use a card or two.

Hi friends. Just popping in to update you - we are currently staying open at @wildinkpress_shop but will let you know if anything changes. Our shop has a bottle of (handmade by me!) sanitizer at checkout and lots and lots of six foot space for keeping social distance. Online ordering is available too! Thank you for supporting small business and our staff’s jobs in this difficult time. Let’s hang in there together (but separate).

I’m sharing a new collection of cards in my stories - sweet, sincere and to the point. Covering things like volunteers, coaches, coparents, these cards are made to fill little gaps in the market that may be falling through the cracks. I just love them. What do you think of this line?

Good morning from day one of @ny_now! (aka Super Bowl Sunday) come on by so you can see all of our fun new things! After a post rain sunshiney walk over to the Javits (2 miles!), I think it’s going to be a great day. #nynow2020 #nynowbooth7417

So it’s been a minute since I posted. Well, two weeks actually. The radio silence has been a mixture of things really: the fog that can settle on our brains at the new year, the post-holiday hustle slump, the work of shifting back into routines and stretching to meet deadlines (I’m looking at you @ny_now!) - they all contribute. ____ For me, it could also be weaning my little two-year-old baby girl - as in, I’ve said no for nine days straight - that has contributed to a fee...ling of both sad sweetness and yet bright expectancy for the future. I feel down, I feel bad when saying no - but then I remember: I did a good job breastfeeding her. I made it two years - which far longer than I ever in my wildest dreams imagined. I’m doing a good job, mama - no, I’m doing a GREAT job. Last year I sketched this card out but didn’t get to draw and print it until now. I think a lot of mamas, new and old, need this message. ______ Thanks for listening, friends, and I’m happy to be back! Stay tuned for more flashes of our new cards and behind the scenes in the upcoming week! See more

So joyful. ______ Rather than words in advance of a year, I like to use them in retrospect. And 2019, like all years, had its ups and downs, but it was also filled with JOY! _____ Merry Christmas from our crazy family to yours.

My favorite new hostess gift. These letterpress holiday drink coasters (in their cute little cloth bag) are a sure way to spread Christmas cheer! They’re brand new and have not been wide released yet. Available by phone or in our Chico shop. What’s your favorite holiday beverage?
