We would like to provide an update from the SAC League meeting held last night. After a vote from League Presidents, unfortunately, the majority vote was to cancel the 2020 Football/Sideline Cheer season. What does this mean for WJW? At this time, the WJW board and coaches will meet on Thursday, July 23rd to discuss possible alternatives for the season. We will update you shortly after our meeting. As mentioned, refunds will be given due to the cancelled season. We will se...nd further communication regarding this process. Cheer will continue planning a Competition Season for those interested. Please look for communication from our VP of Cheer this week. As an organization, we believe youth sports play a tremendous role in our athletes lives both physically and mentally. We are committed to moving forward and exploring options to provide a program when it is safe to do so.

As most of you are aware, California has significantly rolled back its reopening in an attempt to control the COVID-19 spread. Although this may seem discouraging, no formal decision on youth sports has been made at this time. CIF will vote on July 20th to determine if Fall Sports will continue as planned. If Whitney High School is unable to play sports in the Fall, then Rocklin Unified School District will not release their fields for use. SAC Presidents are scheduled to mee...t on July 21st to discuss the outcome of the CIF meeting and the 2020 season. Following the SAC Presidents meeting, WJW will have a better idea on the outcome of the 2020 season and will communicate those findings. At this time, registration will remain open. Refunds will be given if the 2020 season is cancelled. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.
