Whispers of a Wanderer

I had almost forgotten you. No I had forgotten you. Unsure of what had changed,... but knowing without you, a calm, a calm, calmer things were. A not-so-nice voice masquerading as my own. It deceives. Yet as if never leaving , it lies. However, in its absence I’ve learned it’s deceptions. With this realization a calm, a calm, calmer things were.

I alone hold the power to perceive. A moment composed of stillness, An intoxicating blend of reality made transparent. ... All which remains is raw and unkempt. All that’s left is you.

We stood motionless atop the crisp seashore, subdued by one another’s grandeur as the calamitous ocean violently dwindled to a still. Your existence, thundering left me in awe.

‘Don’t break it,’ I told her, as I positioned my beating heart within her soft brittle hands; knowing full well she would. In due time she held it discerning through the fissures, and found herself inside.

When I reminisce to this moment I will recollect that I stood for my truth with conviction in a land of injustice and I was, unapologetically loud.
