This is harvey a dapper senior gentleman, he's been around the block a few times and has kept his chin up through it all. He was a harbor shelter dog, rescued by another rescue group then taken to a board and train (negative reinforcement) which was bad news for any dog, eventually i fostered him for a year, no adopters, another person fostered him but travelled alot, then back to person who loved him the most, she fostered harvey then posted again on senior site. Good news! And we were over the moon. He found his forever home. He is loved and respected, harvey is a very special and happy boy angels watching over him

Havent got much done today. Charlie was encrusted with thousands of fleas. Red river of blood when i bathed him this am. I started off flea combing after capstar. It was ridiculous. Fleas are still crawling off her. All over me all day. Flea anemia big time, super white gums and teeth. Lethargic, perking up a bit some movement. Ive had her on my chest all day doing my chore 1 handed. I was so worried, she is skin and bones under her beautiful fluffy long soft coat. Ive been s...yringe feeding electrolytes, kmr, not interested in solids. Did have solid poop, pee. She had green pus in one eye, gave her a dose of clavamox and teramycin in eye. Looks alot better. Will try some dinner now, chicken gerber baby food and feed all the other neglected dogs and cats of the day. They understand. Gotta put everyone away! Have a great father's day too, especially single moms who raised kids to be responsible human beans say a prayer for charlie girl, i will keep her on my chest all night loving her. See more

Just picked up charlie ( boy or girl) from ac, havent sexed. Will rehab and soft release when able to fend for her or himself. Decompressing tonight. Start fresh in morning. New friend for wilson and rocket.

Looks like sunshine can soon sleep in the barn with gogo peace (my egyptian goose) the best barnyard manager in the west. Good night everyone. See ya in the morning

Georgie's 10 day hometrial ended today. Looks like all three girls decided he's a keeper. He is an awesome dog, a kids dog, an all around sweet dog. He came from the high desert and now has a loving family to call his very own. That's All i can ask, our dogs are respected and loved i am grateful we find the best people to adopt our rescues.

We have been very busy during covid, we got a plea from another rescue group in burbank, the mom and kittens were in lynwood. We were told mom was friendly, tri...ed squeezing down a long and narrow space. Mom was nursing kittens, she bolted over the fence. Darn. We put the two kittens in warm carrier and left under table. Drove back to mary alice's to get her trap. Took trap back and showed juan how to set. We put trap next to carrier and we left. As soon as we got home. Mom cat went into trap, mary alice went back to lynwood to Pick up mom and kittens. We took them elonnes, setup large crate, warm blankets, food, litter box. They are doing great at elonne's. When ready for adoption pet protectors in pv will handle adoption. Takes a loving village See more

Today we spayed and neutered one feral and one stray, we had one more but escaped. When we are quiet we are usually really busy helping people with pets or any animal in need stay healthy

Hoover and dysan are now residing in my rainforest, their baby fluff is gradually growing in feathers, waterproofing. They are imprinting with my two senior ducks. Happy to bring them into our Family.

Update: wonderful news doc has his forever Doc Holiday is an 11 month old, 40 pound pup that was rescued from the streets of Pristina Kosovo. He was named after the hotel he was hanging out for food in Kosovo before rescue. He is gentle, sweet and kind dog. He loves massages, attention and gives so much love.... He is great with dogs and kids. One of the most loving and tender hearted pups you will meet. See more

Good morning cockle doodle doo bantams out for their morning scratch and peck, walk up the hill for bugs. They love mealworms, romaine, watermelon, Corn on the cob

Rescued orphan opossum, doing good. We believe her mom got spooked and baby fell off moms back. No injuries, just neefs tlc til can be released.

Yesterday two lovely ladies rescued these two dumped duckling from a park in laguna, they networked, and eventually found me. They named them hoover and dyson, cute names. Now they are a member of our flock.

The end of September brought a new adoption day for Bailey. He was found crying under the hood of a car on a rainy morning, a single 2 month old kitten, with no mom or siblings around. He completed his 10-day home trial on Sept. 27 and when asked if he was a keeper - a big happy YES was the reply! Bailey has new hooman parents plus a feline sister named Duck! We are so happy for Bailey (now named Oliver) and his new family and home. Join us in wishing this family a happy forever after!!!

In 2017 we rescued athena from a high kill shelter, my friend carlyn, author extraordinaire was invited speak on the benefits of having a pet. Athena was adopted by a sunrise senior living facility guest in palos verdes. She brought joy to all guest there. She would go room to room and bring light, memory loss guests brought back wonderful memories of their past relationships with their pets. Today athena is living with her daughter's family
