Time to test a pair of Enve M60 HV 29er wheels on the Santa Cruz Hightower. The 27.5+ wheels were very nice over rocky technical terrain, but lacked a bit of grip for a lightweight rider on loose fire roads. Layla's excited to get her trail legs in gear!

The Santa Cruz Hightower is alive! First impressions: The Hightower is extremely sure-footed over rock gardens with great stability in the rough stuff. Still working on tire selection and pressures to get maximum grip on loose granite in the local San Gabriel range. Wheel Details: 27.5" AM Derby Carbon rims built with our in-house Prototype Powertap 148x12mm Boost rear hub, Ti XD driver, and the latest Industry Nine Center Lock 110x15mm front hub. Aerolite bladed spokes w...ith a splash of Sour Apple colored nipples to go with the Sriracha motif. The frame is currently setup using 27.5+ size tires, but can be converted for use with 29er AM wheels (stay tuned for that build).
