This season just was not the same without our crowd, our Announcer Chappy on the mic, and our sweet mother Tree Hartwig working her smile and candy booth. We sure missed you all and hope that 2021 is normal. Thank you to dad Ross for all the help when John was racing and continued help even when he has to take a break to recover from surgery. You being there takes John’s stress level down so much and helps to make the races run smoothly. Thank you to our kids, Kayla & Alyssa for always being willing to help with whatever I need the day of the races. This truly is a family affair and we are so thankful!

With our 20th season under our belt we want to send out a heartfelt thank you to those who are responsible for helping Wheel2Wheel with such a successful year despite this crazy COVID world. What a great night of racing we had for our 2020 Season Opener on Saturday, July 18th. Boy did we miss racing and ALL our racing family!!! We were so sad that we were unable to have spectators witness such a fun-filled day. Although our first 7 races this year were cancelled we are so excited to pursue the rest of our 20th season with 8 races on the line for the Championship Series. Thank you to all our drivers for being so flexible with us and being willing to be split into... two different sessions throughout the day, for spacing out in the pits and helping us in order to comply with COVID restrictions. It was a LONG day for those of you who race in multiple classes and who were there for the morning and evening session, but it was so nice to have some sense of normalcy back in our life, if even for the day. Thank you so much to all our track volunteers who were busting your butts from 7:30am until 10pm, you all rock and we couldn't do it without you guys. The heat didn't stop all our new and experienced drivers alike from bringing the heat on the track! It was inspiring to see lots of new podium winners, including two birthday boys, and even those with casts showing us how they can rise to the occasion even with hurdles in the way! We welcomed the SoCal Mowers to our race program this year and are excited to have them apart of our racing family for 7 of our 8 races this season. The points have been updated on the website, along with finishing orders for the main events. If you forgot to sign up for the next race 8/1/20 please call me ASAP to be added to the program. FYI - This year the Fairgrounds will be completely closed to everyone on the 4th of July besides fire crew and pyro team for the fireworks display. Unfortunately we are not allowed to run practice or even watch from the parking lot. We will miss being with you all and look forward to celebrating next year’s 4th of July in our normal tradition for the Firework Derby. I received this message from one of our racing families this week. It is so precious, pure and genuine. I just love this little girl’s spirit! Fwd from her dad: So Cassidy asked me why she cant race yet. I told her it's up to the government to decide when we can. She asked who exactly. I said lots of people. Mayors, governors and lots of other people all the way up to the president. So I guess she decided to start at the top!
