GENERAL MAINTENANCE/GROUNDSKEEPER (Point Arena) Seeking a hardworking, trustworthy individual to tend to the daily Maintenance and Grounds keeping needs of a 27... room Inn, located in Point Arena, CA. MUST HAVE BASIC MAINTENANCE SKILLS. The General Maintenance/Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the general appearance of the building(s) and grounds in accordance to the daily needs of the Inn. This position includes working with members of the Inn Team, maintaining the General and Preventative Maintenance projects and/or tasks as well as the ensuring safety and security of the Inn. Position Responsibilities: Maintain positive guest interactions and provide special services for guests upon request. Maintain Inn landscaping, parking lot, grounds and appearance of building(s) exterior/interior. Assist Innkeeper's on work projects as necessary. This may include painting, staining furniture, basic plumbing and electrical work, changing out light fixtures, fixing tiles, etc. Position Requirements: Experience Maintenance and/or Grounds keeping Experience in painting, basic electrical and plumbing repair, drywall, tile work and carpentry. Must be able to climb stairs, climb a ladder, and stand for long periods of time. Knowledge of general hand tools/equipment, lawnmower and landscaping tools/equipment. Basic English communication (verbal and written) and reading skills required. Bi-Lingual, i.e., Spanish, etc., is preferred. Some administrative duties required (timekeeping, maintenance reports, etc.) May be required to work nights, weekend and/or holidays. Live local. Within 15 miles of Point Arena. 30-40 hours a week. Monday-Friday starting at 10AM. May require some weekends.
