Here is a little progress report! Bella is such a sweet girl with a beautiful discipline in her practice accompanied by big passion for piano. I am always impressed by how determined she is to accept challenge pieces. One thing I love about Bella as a player is how she emotes through her finger tips. She always shows up, and she’s always ready to learn. She has a special touch. #marriedlife #progressreport

I love to show students they CAN when they think they can't. I love to show them the possibilities that come with music. The possibilities for joy and self-expression/truth-telling. I get inspired by their progress. I felt super proud when these two students of mine came together to perform a song in the studio when they had never previously met or played together beside one rehearsal. Music brings people together, and I try my best to instill in my students that the sore fin...gertips are worth it and that slowing down actually speeds things up that their voice however unrefined is still worthy of being heard even while it's in process. That is the process! Sometimes stepping out on the ledge before you're ready. BUT! Olethea practiced Blackbird so much that when I had her move the capo up and down the fretboard to suit Olivia's voice she played the tune pretty seamlessly. And Olivia quickly learned Blackbird in like a week or two, and she was so willing to be a part of it! A huge thanks to my best - Lauren D'Anelli - for editing and helping me film!
