Thanks to everyone who joined our turf removal and re-landscaping webinar last Saturday. We're grateful to the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District and UCCE Master Gardeners of San Bernardino County for helping us to lead a successful, fun, and informative webinar. Our attendees learned about WVWD's water efficiency rebate program, methods for replacing turf, how to replant and redesign a lawn or garden space, and other tips for success. If you missed the webinar but you'd like to know how to use WVWD rebates to re-landscape your yard, please call our Customer Service Department at (909)875-1804 and one of our representatives will walk you through it. #wvwd #gardening #garden #landscaping #waterrebates

The West Valley Water District (WVWD) Board of Directors proudly announced that the agency was invited by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to apply for an over $24 million Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) loan for the Oliver P. Roemer Water Filtration Facility Expansion Project. The invitation is one of a 55 across the country the EPA is issuing to help finance $5.1 billion in clean water and drinking water infrastructure projects. Vice Pr...esident Kyle Crowther stated, This is extraordinary news as we continue with the design of the Roemer Facility expansion. Our board and management remain committed to identifying solutions that will maximize benefits and minimize costs for ratepayers. Our selection for these funds follows months of a major collaborative effort between our board, staff and vendors. On behalf of the West Valley Water District Board of Directors, I’d like to thank all of them for their tireless efforts to improve services for our ratepayers. One of the most effective ways to stop the spread of viruses is to wash your hands. Washing your hands with soap and water prevents the spread of germs, protecting yourself, your family, and the community. Stay healthy, wash your hands often, especially during these critical times when you are likely to get and spread germs: Before, during, and after preparing food Before and after caring for someone who is sick Before and after treating a cut or wound After using the... toilet or changing a diaper After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing Let’s all do our part to stop the spread of germs and disease. #globalhandwashingday #keephandsclean See more

We’re building a better, stronger workforce. To further strengthen and support the staff at the West Valley Water District, the board of directors approved a number of agreements that appoint Logan Olds as assistant general manager, elevate the chief financial officer and ratify a MOU with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12, which represents operating engineers, who work as heavy equipment operators. The sweeping changes will impact more than 70 percent of the agency’s personnel. For more information, visit wvwd.org. #recruiting #progress #workers
