Dear Parents and Students We have been following developments in the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis and paying close attention to the guidance from local health departments. Our priority continues to be our students and their families, and it will continue to guide our decision making as we navigate this challenging time. We will be asking students and teachers to wash their hands before each lesson.... We will wipe down surfaces with a disinfectant after each lesson. We are also considering continuing lessons via Skype. We understand that the COVID-19 virus affects everyone differently; in particular, it seems, based on age and immune health. To that end, we ask our teachers to use the outmost care to maintain the store as free of contaminants as possible and to use the following actions each and every day, both at work and at home. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds and/or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. When coughing or sneezing, use a tissue not your hand, then wash your hands or sanitize. Keep a box of tissues handy at all times. Avoid touching your nose, mouth and eyes, and avoid shaking hands and other physical contact. Keep frequently touched common surfaces clean. For example, telephones, computer equipment, etc. Be mindful of the surfaces you touch (door handles, shared pens, public restrooms, etc.). Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects. Disinfect surfaces regularly. Practice other good health habits. Attention to rest, diet, exercise, and relaxation helps maintain physical and emotional health. Create social distancing to minimize close contact (3-6 feet) and avoid contact with people who are sick. Stay at home if you: Feel sick or have symptoms, especially if you have a fever of 100.4 F or higher, or a productive moist cough (spewing respiratory droplets) even without fever. Care for, or live with someone who is at higher risk (elderly or immunocompromised) Recently had contact with an individual known or suspected to have COVID-19 Traveled to China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Italy, Iran or other high-risk areas in the past 14 days. I have had an ongoing issue with Yelp throughout the years. In case you don't know it yelp will bury your 5 star reviews unless you advertise with them. If you go to my yelp page and scroll down to the bottom you can find about 15- 5 star reviews that they buried and don't factor into your star ratings. Wow what an amazing recital! The kids were incredible. We had over 50 performers and thanks so much to the parents that stayed to hear all of the performers. Also a big thanks for choosing the West Valley Music Center for your music lessons.
