Thank you to those for joining us during our Halloween festivities last week. The children in Ms. Jessie’s pinyin class made worked on the artwork below and The kids had a blast at The Stand.

The moon festival falls on September 13th this year. As a tradition, we celebrate this festival by giving our students and teachers mooncakes while learning the culture. The festival also makes a fundraising event for our school. For $21 a box, you can enjoy the wonderful treat while helping us meet our fundraising goal. Please see the picture of the mooncake from last year. Please send an email to me at [email protected] or sign up at the front desk this Sunday, if you would like to purchase. Please make a payment no later than 09/08/19. The mooncakes will be available on September 15th.

Dear WVCA families, Thank you to our awesome teachers and volunteers today. We had a wonderful first day of school full of fun and learning. Please remember, There will be no school next Sunday, 09/01 because of the Labor Day long weekend. ... We will see you 09/08.

As you have already seen in Principal Min Liang’s welcome back to school email, toys in the classrooms are property of Temple Aliyah. Our students should refrain from playing the toys in the classrooms as well as playing at the backyard outside rooms 6-10. We understand it is very hard for kids. WVCA has decided to set up a play area in the courtyard during recess. PTSA has prepared some toys already, but we are still in need of more. If you have toys (in good condition) th...at your kids no longer need or if you need more space in your garage please donate the toys to school. Below is the list of toys most needed 1) Big blocks 2) Dolls 3) Small cars 4) Kitchen toys 5) Puzzles 6) Jump ropes 7) Board games Other toys are welcome too. If you have any, please bring to the front desk. We appreciate your contribution and your understanding. Together we can make another wonderful year!

Enroll for AP Chinese Language and Culture class for the 2019-2020 school year. WVCA is offering an AP Chinese Language and Culture class for 2019-2020 to help students prepare for and succeed on the AP Chinese Language and Culture Exam. This is an intermediate-level class and students will learn and practice their communication skills in real-life situations and expand their knowledge of Chinese culture to different areas such as family and community, contemporary life, and science and technology. Test-oriented practice will also be included. Please register at here if you are interested.

Don’t forget to join us TODAY at our last fundraiser of the year at The Stand on Canoga! A percentage of the proceeds goes back to the school one today between 11am and 9pm. You must show the flyer on your phone in order for us to get credit.
