In an effort to understand what the various sectors of our industry are thinking about this current situation, yesterday we polled several of the millennial workforce. Below were the actual responses we received from them: "Covid-19 has effected so many areas of our everyday life - including our health, recreational time, and employment. For me, the biggest impact has been financially, having suffered a pay cut due to my company unable to make money during this time. It’s def...initely unsettling not knowing how long this will last and what will happen next. My hope is that we can all come together to do our part so that we can get back to business as usual." "As someone who is in the midst of starting a new business, this is a terrifying time. Not knowing how long this is going to last, while only weeks away from a lot of big decisions is very scary. The economic consequences will effect us all for the next 6-12 months at least, and will definitely impact my projected sales for the first year of business. I am hopeful at the end of this people will continue to support small businesses and they will come back with a vengeance." "Providing business to business remote customer support in the dental industry is admittedly a comfortable job. I am lucky to work for a company that has not laid off any workers, the top brass have pledged to cut their salaries before any of ours and we continue to receive two full paychecks a month. But my coworkers and I all see the writing on the wall. Other companies going under means people lose their jobs, means they can’t afford to go to the doctor, mean our products and services are less often purchased and utilized. Our cash reserves will eventually run dry and it is terrifying. We are in a Greater Depression, the free market cannot weather this storm alone, but we are the most advanced society throughout all of history because of government protection and certain inalienable rights. That and the health of my loved ones is where my hope and attention is." "This is a scary time for everyone, no matter what your job is.
