, 23 2020-, , Grand Park ... . . . . , . . . , . , , , , , , . , , , PRAYER FOR ARTSAKH ORGANIZED BY THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY SUPERVISORS On Friday, October 23, 2020, the Los Angeles County Supervisors held a prayer service at Grand Park, showing their support for the people of Artsakh. H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, was invited to deliver his remarks and prayer for peace towards Artsakh. Rev. Fr. Movses Shannakian accompanied the Prelate. In attendance also were H.E. Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Rev. Berdj Djambazian and Very Rev. Fr. Armenag Bedrossian. During his remarks, the Prelate stated, We have gone through trials and tribulations all throughout our history. We are survivors of genocide. Yet again we are re-living the pains of genocide due to our faith and Armenian identity. From the millions of Armenians and virtuous people around the world, we lift our hands in prayer so that peace will reign once again. A group photo was taken following the service.

Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Osko and Yeran Karaghossian to the Western Prelacy. During the visit, the couple delivered their heartfelt wishes and remarks to the Prelate. Responding positively to the request of the newly elected Prelate, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia, the couple generously donated $25,000 to the Catholicosate and $10,000 to the Western Prelacy, in support of the Prelate’s future accomplishments.

. . . . , , 21 2020-, . , , ... , , , , , , , , , , : VIGIL SERVICE FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR SOLDIERS AND EXISTENCE OF OUR NATION On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, a vigil service took place at St. Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church of Glendale, which was presided over by H.G. Bishop Torkom Donoyan, Prelate, and members of the prelacy clergy. The vigil was performed for the safety of our soldiers and the existential being of our nation. During the service, hymns and prayers were lifted up for the ceasing of the war in Armenian and Artsakh. In his speech, the Prelate stated, From the start of the war, our Armenian sons and daughters lent a helping hand to Armenia. That help is not confined only to the beginning of the war; rather it is a beginning of a new era of aid towards Armenia and Artsakh. The service came to an end by the singing of Der Voghormia.

48- , , ()... , 16 2020-, 48- , . . . , . , , , , , , , , , , , , , THE 48TH NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE WESTERN PRELACY EXPRESSES ITS ABSOLUTE SUPPORT FOR ARTSAKH A LETTER OF UNWAVERING SUPPORT FOR ARTSAKH TO BE FORWARDED TO THE PRESIDENT AND HIS ADMINISTRATION AND CONGRESS On Friday, October 16, 2020, the 48th National Representative Assembly of the Western Prelacy, under the auspices of H.E. Archbishop Moushegh Mardirossian, Prelate, during the first session of the meeting, the representatives unanimously condemned the vicious attacks of the Azerbaijani government towards the civilians, churches and infrastructure of Artsakh. After reciting the Lord’s Prayer, a moment of silence was observed for our fallen soldiers and civilians during the war in Artsakh, and clergy members performed a requiem service for the fallen, which was followed by the singing of the Armenian national anthem. Therefore, the National Representative Assembly unanimously decided to forward a formal letter of unwavering support for the Republic of Artsakh to the President of the United States, the presidential office and the Congress, urging them to condemn the aggression of Azerbaijan supported by Turkish government. Furthermore, sanction both Azerbaijan and Turkish government for their crime against humanity and support self determination of people of Artsakh on their historical homeland.
