Keep a weather eye out for an important announcement!

The 2017-2020 California Field Ironworker contract has been ratified by the members. Several incorrect wage and hour spreadsheets have been distributed by some local union reps. The California Administrative Trust has the correct calculations and is distributing to Association as well as WSC members. Additionally, there is NO general foreman rate. That issue was resolved when the Union brought a grievance decision to arbitration and lost.

On May 30, 2017 at 5:15pm CIEC proposed Area rates for Area 2 as being LA, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. At 6:30pm Labor countered this proposal and REMOVED RIVERSIDE, SAN BERNARDINO Counties from their Area 2, placing them into Area 3.

As a point of clarification, the Western Steel Council does NOT represent signatory carpenter, laborer or operators employers. As has been told on various platforms, WSC did not negotiate basic craft agreements. Those agreements are available online at the California Prevailing Wage website. Pay close attention to what is being said, verify. Notice the area rates, various classifications that other crafts use.
