The Parking Spot has teamed up with the Drollinger Family Foundation, Cedars-Sinai, LAX Coastal Area Chamber, Playa Venice Sunrise Rotary, Playa Pharmacy and Food Pantry LAX to offer a Community Wellness Event on October 26th from 9-3pm at 8900 Sepulveda Westway (next to CVS). Cedars will be taking blood donations, sign up here, Playa Pharmacy will be giving flu shots (insurance required- no appointment necessary) and there will be a food drive for Food Pantry-LAX. Drop off non-perishable items to be donated. We hope to see you there. 96TH STREET BETWEEN VICKSBURG AVENUE AND JENNY AVENUE TO CLOSE OVERNIGHT TO SUPPORT AUTOMATED PEOPLE MOVER CONSTRUCTION Activity: Beginning 9 p.m. on Monday, Oc...t. 12, 96th Street between Vicksburg and Jenny avenues will be closed during limited overnight hours to support the installation of the Automated People Mover’s guideway concrete that spans the roadway. Eastbound traffic on 96th Street will use Westchester Parkway to detour around the closure. Westbound traffic will be directed to 98th Street to detour around the closure. Detour signage will be posted. Dates/Times: Monday, Oct. 12 to Wednesday, Oct. 14 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. *Dates and time subject to change
