Our pets do a lot more for us than provide unconditional love, according to the Centers for Disease Control, pets can decrease your blood pressure, lower your cholesterol and even increase your opportunities for socialization. That’s why we want to continue giving you new ideas to celebrate #PetAppretiationWeek with your beloved friend. Have you heard about "Cat grass"? It's grass that’s safe for cats to nibble, many cats enjoy the feeling of chewing on grasses, but cat grass may also provide benefits that their carnivore diets lack. Cat grass looks a lot like the grass on your lawn, but it’s not, and you can grow it in the house and without dirt. Want to give it a try? Let us know.

Help your dog feel his or her best and enjoy spending some quality time together!
Weekends are for playing with your pets. Indoor games are a great way to keep your dog mentally stimulated, stop them from chewing up furniture and from getting bored at times when you can’t go outside due to coronavirus. We might all be feeling anxious as our lives are turned upside-down by COVID-19. Isolation can upset our own mental health, so playing with your dog during this unsettling time can help both of you. It’s the perfect time to remember how much animals enrich our lives, and to start giving them the extra love and attention they deserve.

#WorldBeeDay! There are over 20,000 species of bees. As pollinators, bees play a vital part in the ecosystem. They support the growth of trees and flowers which serve as food and shelter for creatures large & small, and they are crucial to food crops that people depend. It might sound unbelievable, but without bees we may have to say goodbye to food such as apples, almonds, oranges and avocados. 70 of the top 100 food crops grown worldwide rely on pollinators like bees. So let's spend today being thankful that the bees are still buzzing around our ecosystem.
A veterinary assistant named Aiden Mann and his dog Plum achieved viral fame when Mann uploaded a TikTok video of the gentle way he wakes up the blind and deaf miniature Australian shepherd every morning. Mann hopes Plum's story will bring awareness to a particular issue in dog breeding called double-merle breeding. When two merle-patterned dogs are bred together each puppy has a 25% chance of being born as a "double merle" which results in excessive white coloration, lack of pigment, and, sometimes, hearing and vision loss. Mann believes the breeding practice is the reason for Plum's disabilities, and he hopes to shed light on what has been referred to as a "lethal genetic practice."
