Who’s ready to show some love this Valentine’s Day?! This year we want to throw a Valentine’s Party for our friends on the street who often feel so unloved. We got the decorations but we could use a hand with the party favors! Will you help us provide the Valentines cards & candy for our party on February 16th!!? One piece of candy & a little card can bring a smile the face of someone who may never have received a Valentine! Our little volunteers have been working ...on cards but we have so many guests that we could use more! Would you & you kids consider making some and dropping them off to us?! You and your family are welcome to take part in handing them out as well! We would love each of our guests to leave the Tuesday dinner with a Valentine Treat Bag ! So when you’re out, it would help us so much if you could pick up a bag of candy for us! We will hand them out on February 16th but will be collecting supplies starting now! DM us if you’re up for helping spread the love!

The wind and rain this week was so intense. It was heartbreaking to speak to our friends from the homeless community last night at dinner. Some of them were still wearing wet clothes from the night before. So many of them were outside in that wind and rain. That’s unimaginable to most of us. Last night so many people asked for gloves and blankets that we actually ran out. Will you help us replenish our supply so we can continue to provide warm items to those in need during these winter months? Directly message us to coordinate drop-off / pickup or you can bring the donations next Tuesday beginning at 3pm!

Tonight *Jess* doesn’t have to sleep in the Riverbed. Tonight she gets to sleep in a bed that is her own for the first time in 9 years. Tonight she gets new clothes. Tonight she doesn’t have to be concerned about whether or not she is going to eat. Tonight she doesn’t have to be afraid of being attacked, or that all of her belongings would be stolen. Tonight, she is surrounded by a community of women who are supporting her. Tonight she is safe, warm, and has a roof over her h...ead. Tonight she has hope. On Tuesday night Jess responded to an invitation. It was an invitation to make the decision to accept a helping hand . . . and it was an invitation to make the brave, bold decision to walk away from a life of addiction & homelessness & enter recovery. When welcoming our dinner guests this past Tuesday, we talked about the money we have been raising through our #RecycleForRehab Program. With the money that is raised from people donating CA CRV plastic & aluminum we sponsor people so that they can enter a Rehab Program with no expenses. Jess sat in her seat with tears in her eyes when she heard the invitation. She said she knew the invitation was for her. It was her breakthrough moment. I know this is God . . . because once I said yes to help, every single thing has worked perfectly to get me to this moment where I’m actually doing it . . . I’m really doing it. I always wondered why I’ve been through so much in my life. I think now it’s so I can get better and then help other people like me get off the street, she shared as she entered recovery today. Sometimes it takes coming to the end of yourself to decide to cry out. Today is this beautiful soul gets begin her journey at a new chance at life. You can help more people like Jess by giving your CA CRV plastic & aluminum to We See You or by donating financially to We See You San Diego & labeling the donation Recycle for Rehab. Here’s to MANY MORE second chances in 2021! *Her name was changed to protect her privacy* #secondchances
