It was October 2009 & I was fresh out of high school and ready to take on the world! During my senior year in high school I had decided I wanted to do massage. A lot of my friends we're choosing what colleges they would be going to and honestly nothing really spoke to me. I knew I wanted to help people in some way but just didnt know how. I had always been one to give my friends and family shoulder massages but it never really crossed my mind to make a career out of it until... my dad suggested it. "Even if you don't do it forever, at least you'll have a good job while figuring out what you want to do," he told me. It was like a light bulb went off! I loved making people feel good and had an intuitive touch. Why would I not do that!? While in highschool theres so much pressure to do the 4 year college route and get your degree in something and maybe you'll find a job that coincides with your degree, and looking back now I'm so happy I followed my heart to a career that, 10 years later I still love! This job has definitely had its ups and downs, from weeks where I didnt have any appointments and made no money, to spas that over worked and under paid me leading to physical injuries. But I'm happy to have experienced those low points in my career because it not only made me resilient, but it also taught me the value in self-care. And learning to keep your cup full changes the way you live life! This career has introduced me to so many amazing people, some who have become mentors of mine, others who have become friends. I look forward to our time together getting to catch up on their life and helping them drop down into a deep state of relaxation & healing. I'm not sure where my future will take me but I can say this career has paved the path for a happy, healthy & fulfilling life. I thank all my clients who have made this life possible for me!
