BREAKING NEWS: Dave Burruss set new Clear Lake and California state records for a black crappie on Wednesday when he caught this 4.33-pound fish. The old record... was 4 pounds, 1 ounce. The new record, which has to be verified by the Department of Fish and Wildlife, was weighed on a state-certified scale after being weighed on two non-certified scales. Applicants for Fish and Game Warden Cadet who submitted applications prior to July 31, 2020 were mailed a letter this week regarding the u...pcoming PELLETB examination, the test that measures skills that are associated with successful performance as a California peace officer. The PELLETB will be offered in Sacramento and the City of Orange later this month. Please see your letter for more details. CDFW is conducting these exams with safety in mind for both the applicants and the test proctors. Applicants will be required to wear a mask during the exam.
