We went together to the typical stores where they educated us on the characteristics of diamonds and styles. I was able to try on rings and I loved two very different styles. I was excited and happy, but also stressed. I ultimately left it up to Chase to pick out a ring and a huge weight was lifted. Best de...cision ever. He knows me completely so he took his ideas to a family friend and they collaborated to design the most beautiful ring I could have imagined. After a few meetings and renderings, they combined the elements of those two styles to create my ring. My favorite part is the floating diamond! I easily tear up thinking about this as a symbol of our love and how it is now a part of me forever. The Spinel gemstone, added by the AGTA, the American Gem Trade Association, to be shared with Peridot as the new official August birthstone. Coveted by jewelers for centuries and listed by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) as "the most under-appreciated gemstone in history." Spinel comes in many colors, is rarely treated and is nearly as hard as Sapphire or Ruby and is often mistaken for them. The center stone in the Crown Jewels for England is named the Black Prince...
