As a chiropractic provider who treats pediatric patients, I have to give a shout out to @teamtonguetie I have personally seen the difference between scissor revision, electrical cauterization, and CO2 laser revisions. Frenectomy revision methods should not all be considered the same. CO2 is by far the gold standard in my honest opinion. In addition, it is unfortunate, but anterior tongue ties are the only ties that usually get caught (if even checked for) by a untrained ped...iatrician or lactation consultant. Pediatricians have very little training in tongue ties in medical school. Chiropractors also have little training in diagnosing posterior tongue ties, buccal (cheek) tie, upper lip, and lower lip ties. If you think your baby has a tie anywhere in their mouth, seek a trained IBCLC (international board certified lactation consultant) or a chiropractor, pediatrician, and/or dentist who is confident in diagnosing all possible ties. Dr Sacker @teamtonguetie is a pediatrician who is also IBCLC. Dr Berger @teamtonguetie is a Dentist and the first Dentist to be IBCLC! They also have a IBCLC consultant in their team. It would be an injustice to my oath to do no wrong as a health care provider to vouch for any other frenectomy revision method over CO2. trending lately... A lot of patients have been complaining of lower back pain and hip tightness after they began working at home. Most people have admitted that they aren't working as ergonomically and they aren't getting up as frequently. My advice: make sure your set up is as ergonomic as possible (screen is elevated, feet on the floor, sitting up, etc).
