If your estate plan includes transferring ownership of your family home or other residential property to your children, this property will now be subject to reassessment to current market value thanks to recent voter approval of Proposition 19. Effective February 16, 2021 the parent-to-child reassessment exclusion will be limited to the principal residence of the parent and will require that the child utilize the property as their principal residence. AAOC members are encouraged to attend this FREE webinar and find out what changes they should consider making to their estate plans to protect their family’s financial interests and real property assets.
