PUBLIC NOTICE: West Covina Pumpkin Run OCTOBER 19, 2019 COURSE STREET CLOSURES... The street closures will begin at approximately at 5 a.m. and will begin to reopen at 10:00 a.m. There will be a 1 hour and 15-minute time limit on race and it is estimated that the runners will clear the streets surrounding Cortez Park Community and Senior Center by 10:00 a.m. In coordination with the Police Department, we will have designated intermittent traffic control points so that residents may cross the route during the closures - they are noted on the public access map below. RESIDENT PARKING INFORMATION No Parking Zones: Please adhere to all dates/times of the "No Parking- Tow Away" signs along the racecourse. There will be no parking along the course between 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on October 19th. Overnight parking restrictions will be lifted by 10:00 am October 19, 2019. All other parking restrictions and prohibitions will apply. ROAD CLOSURES Full Closures 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m Cortez St. will be closed to through traffic and parking from Barranca Ave. and Hollenbeck Ave. Cameron Ave. will be closed to through traffic from Citrus Ave. and Hollenbeck Ave. Citrus Ave. will be closed to through traffic from Cameron Ave. and Cortez St. Partial Closures: 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Barranca Ave between Cortez St and Cameron Ave. E. We are 10 days away from the 7th Annual Pumpkin Run! We are excited for the great turn out and so many great activities for all that attend from Pancake breakfast to Truck or Treat! Come walk or run with us!

It was a sea of student runners at the 2018 West Covina Pumpkin Run and this year won’t be any different. Thanks to a crowdfunding fundraising campaign started by our Race Director, but funded by the community, they were able to raise over $3,000 to cover registration fees for 200 student runners. That is mind blowing! The Kids Run Free campaign will allocate up to 10 student bibs to school’s and agencies focused on serving kids. They will be able to register for the 5K or ...the 1K Obstacle Course. We are extremely grateful for this campaign, especially for all the donors that made this happen for the community. Come join us as we run and walk the streets of West Covina. All participating runners and walkers will receive a medal, finisher shirt and pancakes! All proceeds will benefit the West Covina Senior Center Foundation and the West Covina Kiwanis Foundation. These two groups service the senior and the kids in West Covina and surrounding cities.

5 Reasons Why You Should Run the West Covina Pumpkin Run 1. All proceeds from the run go back into the community to support the West Covina Senior Center and to fund Kiwanis programs and scholarships for students in the community. 2. We offer a 1K Obstacle Course hosted by OCR Life Fit and Spartan Coaches.... 3. You will run with 500 + runners and walkers that want to give back to the community. 4.
