Mike in Hardware gave us a little mystery to solve.... This iconic WB Studio made Door Knocker was recently seen on TCM's film noir series. Can you help us identify the film? This and many other treasures are alive and well in the WB hardware department.

As we get ready to open back up, we will be highlighting our staff and tell you a little about their history here at WB- Meet Mike Hollis! A piece of Warner Bros. History all on his own. Mike has run the WB Hardware department for 37 years, starting at the Studio in 1983! He's a 3rd generation WB Employee, his father worked first as a grip, hanging pipe on his first day at work on "Old Man & The Sea" on and eventually became a Construction Coordinator on such iconic TV shows... as Hart to Hart and TJ Hoooker. Mike's Grandfather worked as Grip as well, moving the family to Burbank to be nearer the Studio when it moved to Burbank in 1927 and his uncle's George Hollis's name can be found on the WB War Memorial here on Lot put up by Jack Warner in WW2. Mike followed his family onto the WB lot and started as a Laborer before taking over the WB Hardware department where he has remained in service up to the present! Whether he is helping find the perfect doorknobs for Hennesy Street or finding the right elevator panel for the latest period film, Mike has always been a cheerful, helpful part of the WB Family. He is surrounded by years of film history, recently finding the handles from Rick's Cafe in Casablanca, now at the WB Archives! He's been a great asset to filmmakers and always a pleasure to work alongside. We are proud and happy to have had the opportunity to have him on our team and appreciate the wealth of knowledge he has added to the WB Studio experience! Thank you Mike, for all your years of service and dedication. See more
