We recently had a safe, social distance gathering to celebrate the 2020 high school graduates of our Oak View Leadership Program. We are so proud of all of your hard work and great achievement of getting into college. We were even able to honor one of our staff, Evelyn, who recently graduated with her Masters in Social Work from California State University Long Beach. Congratulations to the class of 2020! @ Huntington Beach, California

Meet George*. Before coming to the Shelter, George had never played the piano. While at HBYS, George taught himself how to play the piano, and it has since become his new favorite coping skill. We are currently looking for anyone who is able to to donate a keyboard for George to have at home, so he is able to continue to practice his new found skill. We are so proud of the creativity and hard work that George has dedicated into learning the piano. If you, or someone you know, has a keyboard you would like to donate, please send us a Direct Message or call us at the Shelter (714)-842-6600. *name has been changed to maintain confidentiality
