Hi everyone. We are looking for a part-time person to join our team Friday afternoons and Saturdays for a total of about 11 hours a week (plus whenever I go on vacation). Computer literate is a MUST (knowledge of Cornerstone would be amazing!), bilingual is a plus. DM me your email address and I will email you an application. Thanks!

With the new round of closures ordered by the Governor, we just want to let everyone know that for now, we will be remaining open. We are an essential business. A couple new rules, though...... 1. When Benito comes out to the car to get your pet, you MUST be properly wearing a mask. No mask = no service. NO exceptions. 2. When he comes out to get your pet, you must get out of the car to hand him the pet (or to take it back from him). He is no longer being allowed to get your pet directly from your car or put it back in the car; the transfer must be made outside of your vehicle. Hopefully, if everyone plays by the rules, and we all stay healthy, we can keep the hospital running. But, if things get too scary and Doc decides to shut it down again for a couple weeks, I'll keep you posted. Strange days, indeed....

Hi everyone! It’s going to be a scorcher! Don’t forget about your furry friends; shade (though indoors is better) and plenty of clean, fresh water!

Well, we're about a month in to our 'Contact-less' service and so far, so good. Even though we kind of hate it, we recognize that it is the responsible thing to do, to keep our Doctor, staff and customers safe and healthy. With this in mind, when our techs come out to your car to get your pets, they will ALWAYS be wearing a mask, out of respect for you and your health. We ask that you do the same, and always wear a mask as well when talking to our techs and/or while handing them your furry friends! Thanks!

Wayfarer will be closing at 5:00pm (instead of 5:30) as long as the 6:00pm curfew is in place in Los Angeles. We all want to be home by the time the curfew begins. Just when we thought we were back in business after a pandemic shut-down, now we have curfews to deal with.... I'm not a fan of 2020.....

Reopening next Monday!! While we transition back to kinds-sorta normal in a world that is far from normal, we are instituting the following protocols. No one will be allowed in the hospital except employees. There will be no exceptions to this rule. We want you to stay safe and we want to as well, so for the time being, these rules will be in place.... When you arrive, Call in to Check in. When you arrive, call us (me). I will get all of your information, the information about your pet and the reason for your visit (Doctor visit, grooming or boarding). A masked and gloved tech will come out to get your pet. You will need to remain in your car. If Dr. Fernandez has any additional questions or medication instructions, she will call you to discuss your pet with you, and answer any questions you may have. You will be transferred to the front desk (me) where I will prepare your bill and where you will pay by credit card over the phone. We cannot except checks at this time (no one wants to go to the bank). We can except cash (we can discuss that when you’re here, if applicable). The tech will then bring out your pet, any medications, and your receipt. If you’re just coming to purchase food, refills, etc, these will also be delivered to you outside. If you pre-order over the phone in advance, your order will be ready when you arrive so you won’t have to wait (and it’s easier for me!). Hopefully we won’t need to go to such extremes in the future, but for now, we want our clients and employees to stay safe and healthy and want the same for your furry family! Thanks for your understanding during this very strange and stressful situation. Stay safe! See you soon!

Only one more week!! Wayfarer will be reopening on Monday, May 18th!! Yay!!... We are currently working out how to keep everyone safe, and maintaining social distancing. We will be doing a ‘Call from the Car check-in, then sending a masked and gloved tech out to get your pet to see Doc, while you remain outside. Doc will call you to get any additional information and give instructions after the exam. You will be then transferred to me, I will get your credit card information (no checks, but we can accept EXACT cash; we won’t be going to the bank to have change for now). Then, the tech will bring out your pet, the medication and your receipt. It will be as close to ‘contact-less’ as possible. No one will be allowed inside the building except employees. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS. All pet transfers will be done outside, whether it’s for the Doctor, grooming or boarding. We’ll work out the kinks as we go along (I’m certain there will be a few....). Hope you are all well and we all look forward to seeing you and your furry family soon!

How about some GOOD news? Wayfarer will be reopening on Monday, May 18th!! Yay!!... We are currently working out how to keep everyone safe, and maintaining social distancing. We will likely be doing a ‘Call from the Car check-in, then sending a tech out to get your pet to see Doc, while you remain outside. Doc will call you to get information and give instructions after the exam. You will be transferred to me, I will get your credit card information (no checks, but we can accept EXACT cash; we won’t be going to the bank to have change for now). Then, the tech will bring out your pet, the medication and your receipt. It will be a close to ‘contact-less’ as possible. No one will be allowed in the building except employees. All pet transfers will be done outside, whether it’s for the Doctor, grooming or boarding. We’ll work out the kinks as we go along (I’m certain there will be a few!). In the meantime, the fabulous Melissa will be going in this coming Saturday, May 9th, to refill medication if needed, but if you can wait until we reopen on the 18th, that would be great. Hope you are all well and we all look forward to seeing you and your furry family soon!
