It had to happen at some point. Chef Hung perfected the churro. (Have you been watching the process on Warrior School?. ( https://www.tiktok.com/@warriorlosangeles ) And now... He's moved on to mastering the glorious "donut hole".... Warrior made the transition to this addictive new desert last week. These mini-donuts come on a Ferris wheel with different dipping sauces. Our friend Raquel (in the cute GIF) just poked hers with a "chocolate injection needle". Perfect timing for Valentines, wouldn't you say?

Alison O'Brien is half-Chinese. Pan-Asian cuisine is her jam. So last night we let her make all the culinary choices for the group. We also let her lead us into some pretty heavy conversation territory.... Family. Alison hasn't had a father for all her life. But recently he magically reappeared wanting to reconnect with everyone. You can imagine... He's been met with a bit of resistance. But Alison decided to take another route... Her philosophy is that when "life happens" to you, you can fight the circumstances (lose energy) OR you can absorb and learn from them (gain energy). So she’s embraced her "new father". She knows that the chances you offer to others today are the chances you lay for yourself on the journey ahead. The secret to transformation is renewal. You have to treat every day like it's Day 1. And if you didn't know... That’s what The Year Of The Rat symbolizes. Renewal. This year, you get a new swing at bat. It doesn't mean that everything will change for you overnight. But it does mean you can send your life off in brand new directions... IF you want to. Happy Chinese New Year! The Dining Dolls came for a visit!

How do you turn a "good meal" into an "amazing meal"? Preparation. Everything that happens wayyy before you start cooking is where the real magic is.... Take Warrior's ROASTED JIDORI CHICKEN for example: It's brined overnight in a cilantro and garlic "chicken rub". "Brining" is another word for "marinating". All great artists let their ideas marinate. The longer you let things sit... The more its molecular structure can evolve into something beyond what you started with.

I know this looks like a simple bowl of rice to you right now. But, you'll see... After you have a few bites of @chefhungry ‘s FUK YOU CHICKEN, that "simple bowl of rice" will turn into your "godsend".
