We are searching for a qualified and ambitious individual to support the parts department and meet the projected parts needs of customers and the branch's service department. The Parts Specialist reports to the Parts Manager and is responsible for: - Purchasing parts from manufacturers and suppliers and acquiring parts from other branches as needed to maintain inventory - Processing both internal and external parts orders by completing invoices, updating inventory records, and verifying customer credit and shipping parts as needed - Advising the branch manager on part activities, future trends, and matters that may affect the efficiency of the branch or quality of customer service provided - Scheduling and performing timely repairs for rental and customer equipment - Maintain current parts literature and price list for company equipment - Track and update changing to the equipment suppliers and prices Excellence in this challenging and rewarding position paves the way for advancement into the role of Parts Manager REQUIREMENTS Superior customer service remains the backbone, therefore your willingness and ability to provide this to each customer makes you a top-notch candidate. To be qualified, the ideal candidate should have a high school diploma and 2+ years of retail exposure and knowledge of heavy equipment/parts. Responsibilities will include transporting equipment for customer use, advising customers bout the operation of equipment when necessary, loading and unloading equipment, and suggesting to customers any additional equipment and supplies they may need. Qualified candidates must have the ability to work within a team-oriented environment, be self-motivated, able to prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks at once. Experience with, or knowledge of Heavy Construction equipment and Parts Sales is desirable. Major Areas of Responsibility: First point of contact for all incoming phone AND web parts requests Assist service department personnel with parts requests as needed Research parts solutions for customers used, new surplus and aftermarket solutions Process sales orders and returns. Utilize company, vendor, and industry resources to constantly grow knowledge of machines and their applicable parts Assist customers looking for hard-to-find parts by utilizing various parts resources Responsible for effectively creating and processing transfer orders and creating/receiving vendor purchase orders. In addition to the above stated major responsibilities, various special projects may also be assigned. Required Skills: Organization skills ability to balance competing priorities Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills. Tough World-Tough Equipment JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for maintaining yard in good order, for supervising the loading and unloading of trucks, and the storage equipment. -Ensure that the yard is in good safe working order -Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed -Assist walk-in customers by offering a high level of customer service -Check work orders to make sure appropriate equipment is staged for loading -Performs daily inspections for yard forklifts -Assists customers by filling orders and loading trucks -Inspects returned equipment for damage during rental period -Maintains a checklist of equipment status -Maintains yard organization and cleanliness -Performs other duties as assigned by the manager REQUIREMENTS: -Experience in equipment shipping and receiving -Clear understanding of equipment utilization and safety requirements -Personal and professional integrity -Demonstrated use of tools and equipment -Clean driving record to make local deliveries PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, and/or reach and lift up to 50 pounds or more, as required by the job.
