Even though Michele retired in the spring, we wanted to nominate her for the 2020 Sacramento Business Journal's CFO of the Year Award - and she has just been named as an honoree! Some tidbits from her nomination include: Michele leads by example, owning her issues and giving credit to her team for the successes. ... Her humorous approach to dealing with challenges allows others to open up and be vulnerable along with her. Egos aside- let’s just get it done! Michele is brave and will speak up about issues that she knows are important to our culture and long-term success. Michele will do what it takes to get the job done, even if that means doing all of the work herself and putting in 14-16 hour days. Not only is Michele a very strong and essential technical professional of our management team, but her unique ability to work with staff, has proven to be one of her best qualities, as she has been a primary catalyst in maintaining a strong family-like culture here at Bender Insurance Solutions.
