Timothy in our Poway store is pretty excited that his shipment of fall strawberries is here. He recommends planting with straw around them. Choose from Albion, Chandler, Camarosa, Sequoia and Seascape.

Here's a project we can get behind and are proud to say that we helped with. Dora in our Poway store made these aDORAble beer can succulent planters. She put the word out that she needed beer cans and we helped supply her with empties! Each garden is $10.99 and she is trying to use local brews. Step up and serve yourself, they are ready to grab and go (with a quick stop at the register of course). You'll find these outside in the succulent area at our Poway store.

It’s Pumpkin Palooza Both stores are stocked & ready for Fall

Have you started your "winter" garden yet? (we use the term winter loosely!). It is time to put that cool season garden in. Check out this week's WEDNESDAY WISDOM from the Garden Talk team to learn a few tricks and insight on the more common winter vegetable crops.

To help us get ready for Fall, send us photos of your pumpkins and gourds you grew this year; harvested or still on the vine. We’ll try to include them in the October newsletter. Send us a jpeg photo (under 2 megs), plant name, and your name if you’d like credit. Email to [email protected]. Deadline is Sept. 22
